Here's my 51st Splinterlands Guild Brawl Report for PIZZA 2 The Deep Dish. πβοΈπ‘οΈ
It's the β¨π β¨Gold Foil Chaos Legion Fray no.12β¨π β¨ for the 34th week in a row for me.
The table below shows my accumulated tally of battles in Fray 12 since I first took it up π. πππ
| Current Tally for the past 33 brawls | ||||
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Number of BattlesβοΈ | Winsβ | Lossesβ | Drawβ | Overall Win % βοΈ |
| 119 | 72 | 42 | 5 | 60.5% |
Looks like I'm holding strong at this 60% mark again for this week after the results of the past brawl π. The tides of battle can change at a moment's notice though, so who knows what this next brawl will bring π€£.
No new Gladius packs for me this week. I estimate that it will take at least the next brawl before I save enough Merits for another pack. π€
π€π»ππ€π»ππ€π»π Fingers crossed for a Gold Foil (Legendary!!!) I hope π€£π€ for my future Gladius packs. (or any packs/rewards chest for that matter π)
As usual, I make an extra effort to rent β¨Gold Foil Chaos Legionβ¨ cards that align with my daily focus during Guild Brawl days.
Hopefully Lady Luck continues to shine on me πππ and I don't get too many weird ruleset combinations which will completely screw up my limited Gold Foil selection of cards. (π€£ yeah, that's how terrible I am, to have to rely on luck for my wins)
Some thoughts I have about my exploits in the Gold Frays. ππ€
I feel like I'm winning because my opponent has even less Gold Foil cards available to him than I do. Personally, I find it slightly flattering to me. The teams I field are definitely not the absolute strongest, but more of what is available to me.
It also doesn't account for HOW I win some of the fights though. I've realised that a fair number of them are from opponents who just gave up and did not even face me in battle. βοΈβοΈβοΈ
My choice of picking up the Gold Foil frays is to simply give the Guild a better chance at accumulating more wins, seeing especially that IN THE PAST, many Gold Frays were left empty. Even if I were to lose everything and win just 1 match, it would definitely help in securing a better finishing position overall. π₯π₯π₯
With all that said, lets FINALLY get down to a review and quick analysis of my battles π§βοΈπ‘οΈ, or in some cases where my opponent fled ππ»π¨ - non battles π¨.
βοΈπ‘Let the Battles CommenceβοΈπ‘
LOST.
A Gold Foil Grandmaster Rathe and Uriel? I knew this battle was over before it even started. My team was hopelessly outmatched. I've never expected to stand any chance against an opponent who has invested so heavily into his deck π .
No surprise here. I was completely crushed. π
WON.
The outcome is never certain when it is a low mana ruleset and both of us just happened to pick the same splinter. That said, I managed to edge out the opponent thanks to my Goblin Psychic healing my Mycelic Slipspawn. Even though the opponent had his own healing tank in the form of the Xenith Monk, I had the slight advantage in healing power thanks to the Slipspawn's higher HP (and this more healing per round).
I might not have lost a single unit at all, but this battle was really much closer than it looked. A well fought victory. π
LOST.
It was a nearly identical lineup for both me and my opponent. Both of us selected the Earth splinter and both of us used pretty similar cards. My loss was due to the card positioning. Although, it could also be said that whoever's Grund attacked first would have won too. And that just happened to be in my opponent's favour π€.
An unfortunate loss in my opinion. βΉοΈ
πππMy Overall Resultsπππ
1 WIN 2 LOSSES. I would have preferred a slightly better score. 1 of the matches was beyond me, as I was completely outmatched. However, the other loss could have been averted with some luck. Oh well, you win some and you lose some right? π
I feel it's important that Guilds are able to fill out all the frays - even the significantly "harder" Gold ones. It is very likely that most guilds (at our level) skip the Gold frays completely, or are unable to even field a team if they've got no Gold Foil Summoners. This therefore leads to a better overall score.
π₯π₯π₯Final Standingsπ₯π₯π₯
PIZZA 2 Guild managed to finish in 2nd place! πππ
It's a really good result! This week was pretty competitive among the top 3 teams. The rankings could have been completely different had a few battles swung in either direction.
Great Job from everyone who took part in the Guild Brawls! I'm proud of you all! ππ»ππ»ππ»
