Hello, greetings beautiful coffee community and pleased to be with you all once again. It has been a long time since I have been here. Today I want to share with you an experience I had with coffee a few days ago and I invite you to join me.
It had been a while since I had enjoyed a cup of coffee outside the house until a few days ago when I had to leave for a meeting of representatives at my eldest son's school. I was one of the first mothers to arrive. Upon entering the room where the meeting was to be held, to my surprise, the teacher had prepared a small table with a thermos of coffee, bread and soda. Honestly, when I saw the thermos of coffee I opened my eyes wide to make sure that what I was seeing was real and it was indeed a thermos with some coffee.
If I am honest with you, in all the years that my children have studied and I have had to go to meetings, never, but never in the meetings coffee was drunk; not because it was bad, but because there was no interest on the part of the teacher or the representatives. So coffee was not so important.
Arriving at the meeting room and seeing a thermos of coffee surprised me and at the same time I was very surprised, but I still thought it was excellent. This was the first meeting we had with the teacher of my oldest son, who is in the sixth grade of elementary school. The teacher was very kind and very affectionate (I think more than usual), she is one of those teachers who get involved with her students and representative to support them in everything she can.
That day I was with a friend, mother of one of my son's classmates. We were the first to arrive, we took our seats and little by little some other representatives joined us. Then the teacher got up from where she was and offered us coffee, bread and soda. I was very satisfied, not so much for the things but for the gesture and the effort the teacher made to bring that snack for the meeting and of course for the coffee as well.
She very kindly offered coffee to all of us who were there, so I accepted a cup (rather, a glass) and she prepared it for me and gave it to me in my hands, it was a little hot so I put it on the table to let it rest.
After a few minutes, she took the coffee in my hands to drink a little bit of it, and she thought it was a little strong. I am still not used to drinking strong coffee, even so, in order not to be disrespectful and leave the coffee to the teacher who prepared it with so much effort, I took it little by little. It was good, but for my taste a little strong, but as the saying goes in my homeland Venezuela: "A caballo regalado no se le mira colmillo. So I drank the coffee. As I said it wasn't bad, it tasted very good and the smell is not to be said.
Even though it wasn't the way I like it, I enjoyed it a lot, so much so that I drank two cups. First one by itself and the other to accompany a piece of bread that we had been given. Thank goodness it wasn't as I like it, otherwise I don't think there would have been any coffee left for anyone else. heh, heh. Just kidding.
We all shared that day the meeting was smooth and very good we were all satisfied and happy wishing that all meetings to come would be like this fun and with a good cup of coffee. To tell you the truth I think that was the secret that made the meeting go so well. Coffee has power and magic and that afternoon I think it proved it.
That was it my dear friends. Thanks for visiting my blog.
