Hoy les comparto mi lagartija de mostacilla preferida, porque la he realizado con diferentes cuentas de todos tamaños y colores.
Cuando aprendí hacerla, perdí la cuenta de cuántas hice y cada una salís diferente, ya que dependía de las cuentas con que las hacía.
Today I share with you my favorite mostacilla lizard, because I have made it with different beads of all sizes and colors.
When I learned how to make it, I lost count of how many I made and each one comes out differently, since it depended on the beads with which I made them.
Unas en llaveros, otras para colgarlas en los bolsos e incluso una de mis amigas le puso un imán para ponerla en su nevera.
Some on key rings, others to hang on bags and even one of my friends put a magnet on it to put it on her fridge.
De verdad disfrute mucho haciendo mis lagartijas o como me dijo mi nieto que parecía un cocodrilo bebé.
I really enjoyed doing my push-ups or as my grandson told me I looked like a baby crocodile.
Este en particular tiene un significado especial porque este salió de un elefante que me habían regalado, pero como se me había dañado y no lo supe hacer. Para conservar de alguna manera el regalo de mi amiga, hice mi lagartija,agregándole una piedra de cuarzo rosa. Ya que ambas nos gusta y creemos en la magia que tienen las piedras.
This one in particular has a special meaning because it came out of an elephant that had been given to me, but since it had been damaged and I did not know how to do it. To somehow preserve my friend's gift, I made my lizard, adding a rose quartz stone to it. Since we both like and believe in the magic that stones have.
Aunque en verdad y comparado con otros animales que se hacen con mostacillas, este resulta fácil. Pero me dió un poco de trabajo por mi condición 😔 cuando trabajo con materiales pequeños. Ahora que cuando se hacen con cuentas un poco más grande resultan más fácil y rápidos de hacer.
Although in truth and compared to other animals that are made with beads, this one is easy. But it gave me a bit of work because of my condition 😔 when I work with small materials. Now that when they are made with slightly larger beads they are easier and faster to do.
Las mostacillas que sobraron, las haré en otro trabajo que guardaré con mucho cariño para así preservar el valor con cuál mi amiga me lo obsequio... después les mostraré.

Les cuento sobre los materiales que utilice y el paso a paso de su elaboración.
I tell you about the materials I use and the step by step of its elaboration.
Materiales:
- Una argollas pequeña.
- Mostacillas de color lila y trece de color negro, para la nariz y las patas.
- Una piedra de cuarzo rosa y dos piedras Swarovski moradas.
- Un metro de nailon transparente.
- Tijera.
Materials:
- A small rings.
- Lilac and thirteen black beads for the nose and legs.
- One rose quartz stone and two purple Swarovski stones.
- One meter of transparent nylon.
- Scissors.
Procedimiento:
Process:
- Paso # 1.
Tome el hilo y lo amarre a la argolla con varios nudos, quedando está en el centro.
- Step 1.
Take the thread and tie it to the ring with several knots, leaving it in the center.
- Paso # 2.
Luego junte las dos puntas de los hilos y pase primero una de la pierdas Swarovski moradas, luego la piedra de cuarzo rosada y después la otra piedra morada, y las lleve hasta la argolla.
- Step 2.
Then bring the two ends of the threads together and pass first one of the purple Swarovski stones, then the rose quartz stone and then the other purple stone, and bring them to the hoop.
- Paso # 3.
En este paso comienzo con la mostacilla negra colocándola en una de las dos puntas de los hilos ( las puedes meter por algunas de las dos puntas). Ya que se van a cruzar los hilos y luego se van a jalar hasta llegar a la piedra morada.
Está mostacilla negra representaría la nariz de la lagartija.
- Step 3.
In this step I start with the black bead placing it on one of the two ends of the threads (you can put them through some of the two ends). Since the threads are going to cross and then they are going to pull until they reach the purple stone.
This black mustacilla would represent the nose of the lizard.
- Paso # 4.
Aquí empezamos a meter por algunos de los hilos dos mostacillas y cruzamos los hilos, los llevamos y acomodamos hasta donde esté la mostacilla negra....este lo hacemos dos veces.
Luego tres mostacillas, cruzamos y acomodamos, repetimos tres mostacillas más.
Haciendo lo mismo con los cuatro abalorios.
- Step 4.
Here we begin to put two beads through some of the threads and we cross the threads, we take them and accommodate to where the black bead is.... we do this twice.
Then three beads, we cross and accommodate, we repeat three more beads.
Doing the same with the four beads.
- Paso # 5.
Cuando llegamos a la quinta, aquí tocaría hacerle los ojos, por lo que se mete primero la mostacilla lila, una negra, una lila, otra negra y la última lila...las negras serían los ojos.
Y así repetimos.
- Step #5.
When we get to the fifth, here it would be time to make the eyes, so the lilac mustard is put in first, a black one, a lilac one, another black one and the last lilac one... the black ones would be the eyes.
And so we repeat.
- Paso # 6.
Aquí metí seis mostacillas. Ya saben, se repite el paso en la otra vuelta.
- Step #6.
Here I put six beads. You know, the step is repeated on the other round.
- Paso # 7.
Luego aquí se comienza a disminuir en cada vuelta hasta llegar a tres mostacilla, que es donde luego de meter las tres mostacila se van a colocar en cada hilo siete mostacillas lila y tres negras. Y luego se va a pasar el hilo por todas las mostacillas lila y se jalan hasta llegar a las mostacilla negra. Se hace de la misma manera en el otro hilo . Después se meten las otras tres mostacillas negras y así ya quedan las patas delanteras de la lagartija.
- Step #7.
Then here it begins to decrease in each round until you reach three mustacillas, which is where after putting the three mustacillas seven lilac and three black mustacillas are going to be placed on each thread. And then the thread is going to be passed through all the lilac beads and they are pulled until they reach the black beads. It's done the same way in the other thread. Then the other three black beads are inserted and thus the front legs of the lizard remain.
- Paso # 8.
Luego para hacer la parte del tronco de la lagartija se hacen los aumentos en cada vuelta, hasta llegar a colocar ocho mostacillas... después se hacen disminuciones hasta llegar a tres mostacillas.
Para luego en cada hilo meter diez mostacillas lila y las tres negras...pase el hilo por las mostacillas lila, luego jale el hilo y lo acomode junto a las otras.
Así con el otro hilo y formar las patas traseras ( estas quedaron un poco largas, pero no se, me gustó hacerlas así).
- Step # 8.
Then to make the part of the trunk of the lizard, the increases are made in each round, until reaching eight beads... then decreases are made until reaching three beads.
Then, put ten lilac beads and three black beads on each thread... pass the thread through the lilac beads, then pull the thread and arrange it next to the others.
So with the other thread and form the back legs (these were a bit long, but I don't know, I liked doing them like this).
Paso # 9.
Por último queda es hacerle el rabo, así que luego de hacerle las patas, meter las tres
mostacillas. En las demás vueltas se meten dos mostacillas hasta hacer el largo que quieras de la lagartija.
Y finalizar con una mostacilla negra. Para luego amarrar bien y cortar el hilo sobrante.
Step #9.
The last thing left is to make the tail, so after making the legs, put the three
beads. In the other rows, insert two beads until you have the length you want for the lizard.
And finish with a black mustacilla. To then tie well and cut the excess thread.
Y después de todos estos pasos, tenemos aquí una linda y tierna lagartija..la cual se verá muy linda como colgante en un bolso, o en un llavero.
And after all these steps, we have here a cute and cuddly lizard...which will look very cute as a pendant on a bag, or on a key ring.
