Hello, This is my original forest landscape painting using acrylic medium. I preferably use this medium because it is easy to clean, fast drying and affordable.
In my journey as an artist I usually painted landscape scenery, for me artwork is relaxing and soothing. The beauty of our natural world brings endless inspiration.
One of my contributions to this platform is my little knowledge about painting that I want to inspire those who want to learn specially to those who are absolute beginners.
There are three parts in Landscape painting: Background, Middleground and foreground.
Background is very important to look your landscape painting beautiful, It gives some context or setting to the scene. duller n color and smaller in size.
Middleground Naturally occuring between the background and the foreground. The middle part of the composition of the painting, It is also called the center of interest.
Foreground is closest to the viewers, the objects generally appear to be larger. There should be harmony and balance between all three layers.

The highlights for the trunks and branches is titanium white, Just tap it slowly to create such effects. you can use flat brush #10. the middle ground I used brown and black. for the leaves you can use mid green, Then apply the highlights on top of the leaves using lemon yellow and yellow ochre. the same procedure with the bushes technique. you can use round brush and filvert brush for the leaves. For the water, remember this, Whatever is light on dry land will be darker in the water. make illusion and reflections.
