It was a fine day. The sun was shining brightly, but you could still feel the cold in your arms. Come with me as I share our family bonding time today.
Since it is still the winter season and we saw that the weather was very good today, we decided to go for a walk. It was fun because I did not know that Father would also come with us. So we picked up Ella and her mother from their apartment, which is just a minute away from our house. It was also the first time I met Ella’s mother.
Another funny thing was that Kiwi, our cat, also wanted to go for a walk with us when she realized everyone was leaving and she would be left behind. She was running here and there with us. Then we started walking along the usual path we take toward the mountains before heading back home.
While we were walking, I enjoyed the moment — the sunshine, the cold breeze, and their company as well. Then another funny moment with Kiwi happened. She saw a big dog coming, so she decided to run back home. It was funny because Mother and Kiwi were chasing each other. In the end, Kiwi went back home while we continued our walk.
It’s nice to walk because you see many different things outside — interesting houses, plants, and flowers — and you meet different people too. You greet them with “Hi” or “Hallo” even if you don’t really know each other, as a sign of courtesy here in Germany.
I saw a kind of flower that interested me because it looked like cotton — soft and white. This flower actually blooms in different colors during springtime.
Having this time with them is really a great feeling. There may be a language barrier, but in the end we still understand each other. It was truly a nice and fun walk.
You can really see the difference in the weather between summer and the winter season. The leaves and trees are dry, and there is not much color yet. However, little by little, colors are starting to appear.
After walking around for maybe a few minutes or about half an hour, we decided to have coffee at our place. People here also love coffee as part of their daily lives. The weather and these people made it a perfect day.
This is all for today, and I hope I’ll catch you on my next blog. Have a great day, everyone! Cheers to life!
