"Girl on the Train" is about how Rachel every day takes the train and takes the same route that makes her pass in front of what was her home before her divorce from Tom. This route seems like an inevitable path since it is the route that takes her to her job. However, nothing is coincidental. Rachel has become a stalker of her ex-husband and his new partner, calling him late at night and behaving erratically as she suffers from alcoholism.
Tom has been sympathetic towards his ex-wife Rachel's illness and tries to justify it and ask for patience from his new partner, but many times Rachel exceeds the limits to the point of forcing her way into her ex-husband's house.

Rachel every time the train passes in front of her house, also observes the life of her ex-husband's neighbors (Scott and Megan). A young couple who are happy. But one morning when the train passes in front of the neighbors' house she observes Megan on the terrace of her house making out with another man who is not her husband. Rachel feels indignant because in her opinion this infidelity is not fair since Megan has a loving husband at least that's what she intuits from what she observes through the train window and decides to find out who Megan's furtive lover is.

Rachel will have to struggle to find out what happened if she witnessed a murder or was she the one who committed the crime, as the effects of alcohol on her make her lose her memory or not remember accurately the facts.
La trama de la película se oscurece cuando Megan es asesinada y Rachel al despertar en su casa llena de sangre, lo último que recuerda es haber enfrentado a Megan reclamándole por su infidelidad. "Girl on the Train" is a film that will keep you in suspense, as you will try to reconstruct the facts by piecing together the pieces of memories that come to the mind of this depressive and alcoholic woman, a very bad combination since she is not aware of her actions which can become serious.
Emily Blunt's performance in this film is great since at times it makes you feel compassion for the debauchery of this character, but at the same time, it makes you think that she deserves everything that happens to her since the viewer knows that much of her suffering is a consequence of her actions.

La actuación de Emily Blunt en esta película es grandiosa, ya que a veces te hace sentir compasión por los desenfrenos de este personaje pero a la vez te hace pensar que se tiene bien merecido todo lo que le acontece, ya que el espectador sabe que mucho de su padecer es consecuencia de sus propias acciones.
