Hey Jessennials
Welcome back to another edition of rants with Che, where if it doesn't bring you value you should drop it like its hot. I happened to grew up in the millennial era as well as experiencing the dismantling of apartheid. Which I think has given me a little more perspective than most millennials and the iGeneration (those who grew up as Smartphones kicked off).
I realise that the previous generation was tough, battled hard, they had to endure systematic oppression and real racism, war and all that jazz. Pretty sure you don't shake that shit off and move on with your life.
So when our time came rolling around everyone decided the best way forward would be to overcompensate and mollycoddle their kids to a point where we have moaning millennial snowflakes, SJW and soy boys driving a new wave of lazy people with synthetic civil rights issues they feel like fighting for.

Millenial Meek and Mild
I wouldn't say I grew up in the harshed conditions and was pretty pampered so for me to feel like my generation is way too soft seems crazy. I'm not saying you should all have the crazy work ethic or want to work hard, I slack off all the time but it feels like millennials want to work for nothing. They just want to sit around and spend generational wealth or feel something is owed to them just for being here.
- Millenials confuse opinion with action
- Millenials confuse opinion with intellect
- Millenials confuse opinion with fact
- Millenials confuse opinion with rights
It's safe to say we're an opinionated bunch with most of these opinions holding no weight or merit. You're opinion and values are only as good as how you hold on to them or how much you're willing to listen to another point of view and not be completely offended by it.
I used to fear for this generation but not so much anymore, the natural order will take care of itself I'm sure of it. While I do have the characteristics and flaws of a millenial I do feel that the fact I realise I have them and trying to work on them puts me ahead of most.
I don't see why I should argue with my generation. No sense in working yourself up about it, you can only control yourself and your view on things. I just see them as the most ignorant, arrogant, self-entitled, laziest and useless generation to have ever lived.
Sure you can show me plenty of anecdotal evidence to prove me wrong, there are millennials doing their thing just like in every generation. I just feel like the vast majority of millennials have adopted an attitude that is borderline psychotic. I honestly feel like I can't even communicate with these people, it really is a struggle.
Have your say
If you are a millennial, what do you think? If not, how have your interactions with millennials gone down?
Holla at me in the comments! All my commenters I will now refer to as Jessie. Jessie is a good friend of mine, but Jessies got a girl, and I want to make her mine.
So have at it my Jessies! If you don't have something to comment, simply comment "I am a Jessie."
