Entrepreneurship is always a challenging task but is helpful to create new jobs and boost the local economy. Here in India government always come up with various promotions schemes to help micro and tiny entrepreneurs. Since India is a country of villages and a large chunk of the population live in villages there are various schemes introduced by the government to boost the local economy and reduce the migration of people towards urban areas.
Self Help Group (SHG) is also one such initiative taken by the state governments. In SHG a group of women is formed and women in the group run an enterprise to produce something.
The product prepared by the groups sold in the market and profit distributed among members of the group. In this way, women in their villages get employment without migrating to urban areas.
To promote and sell the products government helps them by organizing exhibitions in all districts of the state and providing free stalls to groups who wanted to promote and sell their products.
Recently such an exhibition is held in our district and I visited there. I clicked some photographs to share with my fellow Hivers.

It is really a nice initiative by the government and a lot of people are employed in this scheme to earn their bread. I also purchased a few products and the quality is satisfying.
