I woke up with a mild headache. I was also feeling a little feverish, so I turned off my air conditioning and took my temperature, which was 35.5'C. Yay! No fever.
Today is the second day of a nasty covid illness, coughing horribly still and the tiredness beats me mostly at night. I'm grateful though for I am able to walk around and, more importantly, make my way to the kitchen. π
And off to the kitchen to make myself something for breakfast.
I air-fried a slice of whole-grain bread with butter, fried two sunny-side-up eggs, and pork luncheon meat. I chose a sugar-free alkaline coffee instead of black brewed coffee today since I wanted to dose off effortlessly throughout the day if needed.
I wasn't hungry at all honestly, because I'm used to eating OMAD
( One meal a day ). Usually, I'd have a black brewed coffee in the morning, lots of water during the day, and a meal about 5.30 to 6 in the evening. So yeah, for the time being, I must eat three times a day because my meds must be taken with food. π¨
While I was having my breakfast I received a message from the MOH (Ministry of Health ). It was to remind me that I was under Home Isolation and that I needed to keep them updated by checking in on a daily basis. It's basically just answering questions on the bru health app on your phone every day and telling them about your symptoms. Then I got a call asking if I needed food assistance, to which I responded yes, and the person asking said it would be delivered as soon as possible. They even asked if I needed an oximeter but I said No, which I regretted right after, as I should have said yes. LOL
Apart from checking social media, I spent my day in between sleep binge-watching Netflix's The Alchemy of Souls. It's a fantasy Kdrama with only two episodes so far. I can't wait for next week's episodes. Hehe!
Then came lunchtime, I managed to cook Pinakbet, which took me two hours and a half to be done as I was really slow at prepping all the veggies. Hahaha!
Ah, happy that my taste and smell are intact and my appetite is still the same as before. ππ
Another phone call while I was eating! And yeah it was from someone saying the food aid's already outside my place. In it were a pack of rice, unsure how many kilograms it was, canned goods, a pack of sugar, two packs of noodles, cooking oil, two boxes of tea, a bottle of fruit punch flavoured syrup, and a pack of biscuits. How cool, yeah!?
So my day went on, and I continued to watch Netflix until another phone call came through. He was speaking Malay to me, and I understood what he was saying, which was to go down and get a pack of Art Kit and paracetamol.
Bless. Lovin' where I live and I consider myself quite fortunate to reside in Brunei. Do you agree?
Goodnight Hivers, tomorrow is another day. π
