I Bought a Farm in South America
I have been talking about wanting to play HashKings for a while now, and I finally cleared some space in my crazy schedule and purchased the necessary items to play. It was pretty simple and did not cost that much. I bought everything so I don't have to worry about expiring rents.
The cost of playing for the first time was really low no more than $10 - $12 USD, although I got in when Hive is going up in price again. Hive at the time of this writing is $1.17 USD.
Why South America
Simply because it was the cheapest, I only paid 8 Hive for it, so I figured that costs less than the Summoner's SpellBook lol. I am going through a strange change in the way I view money. Before Hive I viewed everything with a "what is that worth in US Dollars?" now it is like "What is that worth in Hive?" It is weird but I do more transactions in Hive Engine than I do in the physical world lol.
The Process is Simple
The first thing I did was go to https://nftm.art/buy/hkfarm Here I used my Swap.Hive to purchase the plot of land in South America. The process was simple the site integrates with Hive Engine so you can see how much Swap.Hive you have available.

Then I bought the seeds. I chose seeds that were recommended by 
My mind works in a weird fashion and I do not put 2 and 2 together like a normal well-adjusted American Adult. Without this article, I never would have figured out how simple this game is to start. Not to mention it is easy on the schedule. It only took me about 15 minutes at the most to set everything up, and it would have been quicker if I was not taking screenshots.
Now that everything is set up I do not have to do anything for 7 days. Easier than eating pancakes on a summer morning.
HKWater Tokens
After purchasing the seeds I bought about 10K HKWater Tokens. Now That my plot of land, seeds, and water tokens are purchased it is time to put it all together.

Click on the South America icon in the Left Menu panel, then the picture of your plot pops up. Click on The Shovel icon, and choose which seed you want to plant, only choose 1. then click on the confirm on the Hive Keychain window that will pop up. Every time you choose to do something like plant and water in the game I think even when I chose the plot of land the Hive Keychain window will open up because these are all transactions that are taking place on the Hive BlockChain. See the image below for an example of the Hive KeyChain window that will pop up.

It Will Take About 5 Minutes
Whatever you do, stop yourself from clicking the shovel again. I clicked the shovel read all of the alerts and like a moran, I clicked the shovel again and chose a different pack of seeds, and boom they are gone. I think the game planted one pack of seeds and lost the others. The alerts warned me and honestly, I have no idea why I chose to negate them, please learn from my mistake. The mistake was not costly as they were very inexpensive about 25 cents in USD.
Close the game and do something else for 5 minutes
We have our South American Plot of Land, We have clicked the shovel and chosen a pack of seeds. We are returning to the game after 5 minutes and logging in or refreshing the window, we need the new data from Hive BlockChain, and login in and out or refreshing your tab or window that the game is on will do the trick.
Again Click on The South America Icon in the left menu panel, then click on the sprout, you will see the Water Can Icon next to the Shovel Icon. Click on the Water Can Icon to water your freshly planted seeds.

Keep in mind this is also a Hive Engine transaction so that window will pop up again as well. Now that we have planted a pack of seeds in the plot of land and have watered them, there is nothing to do for 7 days. Unless I buy another plot of land, or multiple plots, that is it for HashKings until next week 😄
