Step by Step:
Primero me concentré en realizar un boceto rústico de nuestra Velma, para luego pulir detalles como su cabello, expresión y atuendo.
First I concentrated on making a rustic sketch of our Velma, and then I polished details such as her hair, expression and attire.
Luego, realicé el Line Art, dejando todo listo para el coloreado. Quería respetar la paleta de colores que use en la ilustración de Shaggy ya que me interesaba mucho dar la sensación de que se encontraban en el mismo lugar. Los colores predominantes en la paleta eran el azul y el verde, por los que los usé de base para configurar los diferentes colores y tonalidades que necesitaba en Velma.
Then, I made the line art, leaving everything ready for coloring. I wanted to respect the color palette I used in the illustration of Shaggy since I was very interested in giving the feeling that they were in the same place. The predominant colors in the palette were blue and green, so I used them as a base to configure the different colors and shades I needed in Velma.
Llegados a este punto, y habiendo avanzado bastante con la ilustración, decidí enfocarme en la luz de la linterna y el rebote de la misma en el cristal de los lentes de nuestra protagonista. Luego, procedí a colocarle el mismo fondo que habia usado en la ilustración de Shaggy, y le agregué mi firma en la parte superior del dibujo, dando por finalizado la ilustración.
At this point, and having advanced enough with the illustration, I decided to focus on the light of the flashlight and the bounce of it on the glass of the glasses of our protagonist. Then, I proceeded to place the same background that I had used in the illustration of Shaggy, and I added my signature at the top of the drawing, finishing the illustration.
And this way, I end my publication of today. The truth is that I had an incredible time, since I had been wanting to retake the dynamics of the Scooby Doo protagonists for a long time. I have a special affection for the characters and the concepts of my comic, so it was a delight to do this work. I loved the end result and I sincerely hope you did too.
