Each week I’m uncertain how to put together the opening sentence of my Friday post. Just now I was thinking ‘I wonder what I’m going to say this time?’ 🤔 So I let the thought simmer a little longer and continued to stir around my base words. I lowered the heat, put a lid on it, took the lid back off, cranked the heat up, added water, nothing changed. So I went with the opening sentence you just read - Let’s see what happens next!
Bravo! Kudos! Congratulations! Well frikkin done chefs, all of you! Happy Friday. How cool is Steemit, though, really? Around this time last year I began paying extra attention to the foods/drinks I consume I just didn’t know I had a platform where I could talk about it with an audience I didn’t know I had. I look around here now and see people from around the world adding value to their wallets by showing off their culinary skills - Way to promote the blockchain chefs!
I’m paying attention to the progression, too, with each week comes added professionalism. And have you noticed how many cooking hashtags are around now? We grab lunch at #fff on Friday’s. My wife follows several; #fruitsandveggiesmonday and #lenasveganliving are two that I’m aware of plus she recently started #justbecause Wednesday’s. I appreciate the way each of you are taking more and more progress pictures, too, and the plating, dang!! Garnish creativity levels are on the rise and the listing of ingredients is spot on, the instructions, all of the above - Well done! Does anyone know what I’m posting for #foodfightfriday yet? Check that out - Did you catch it? I think we just found ourselves a title. I need to shoot over to Pixabay real quick and grab an image - I’ll be right back...
Pixabay + Photoshop
That took a little longer than I expected, sorry to keep us waiting. I thought I could just shoot over there real quick and grab an image but I couldn’t decide between that one and this one:
Also a Pixabay image
So I’m showing off my problem solving skills right now by using them both - That’s it! I got it! I know what I’ll do for food fight now - Show off you know who! (again) That only took, what, 3-4 paragraphs? I’ll try to be more prepared next week.
By now most of you have probably seen showing off her cooking skills. I’m the luckie.. you know the rest! So this week I’ll show off where her top shelf meals begin. I snapped some photos with the GoPro during one of our recent trips to the Farmer’s Market. I didn’t realize the quality that little thing delivers. You don’t have to worry about being positioned steady or in focus or anything either, ‘it just knows.’ I need to familiarize myself with it because in a short time our next journey begins. We’re going to need that camera to document our travels so we can share them with you. We got the regular case and a waterproof one, too, an extra battery, all of the charger cord adapters and holding stick extending things for it, we just don’t know how to use the camera part yet! So here’s my first attempt at capturing the moment with a GoPro Hero 5 Black - A day at the Neighborhood Farmers Market:
(that would’ve been a good title too!)
We got there a little early this time - Vendors were still in the process of setting up. It goes all the way down around the corner to the left a little farther and stops a couple blocks shy of the Pacific Ocean. It’s where tells me what to grab, how much to grab, how to separate it from the other produce, why she wants it, where it came from, the shelf life on it, who to pay, where the next vendor is, whether or not the bag needs air, how to pack it in my backpack, how to hold my backpack while packing it in my backpack and the safest way to transport the backpack back to the place we stay at. I’m doing that thing where I type, type, type, type, yata yata, bla-bla-bla-bla-bla again hu? Ok, I’ll try harder this time - “No whammies, no whammies..... STOP!!!”
Showing off the GoPro - Check that thing out! I never looked through the screen while taking any of these pictures, I just pointed toward the displays and pushed the red button. The labels are actually legible. Same with the nuts up a few, wait, I mean the nuts a few images up.
Showing off Pura Vida showing off her patented home run swing - Ka’pow!
Same place next week, deal? Follow and Show Off your kitchen #engagement skills.

A big shout out to for showing off his platform hosting skills - Thank you sir! He showed off this wiring job recently and I couldn’t get passed the cover image - Look at those knuckles. It looks like that cute little 120-volt, alternating current, 20-amp, weather resistant, indoor/outdoor, 12/2 romex really left an impression on him! 👍🏿
