Summer Season is just beginning and is the perfect time to get start planting Crop. There are 15 days in each season and all you need is a land plot and seed to get started.
Please remember that at the start of each season you must reset your quests. Any action you take prior to resetting them will not count toward quest rewards.
Second, I always start each season with purchasing one Mystery Seed with my CROP tokens earned from the prior season. Each Mystery Seed only cost 40 CROP and I have not had a time when the seed I received was worth less than 40 CROP on the in-game Market.
I planted the mystery seed first. I always hope it will turn into a Legendary seed which takes a long time to mature. Then I planted my next longest maturing seed, the Watermelon.
The Mystery Seed turned into a Basil Seed.
A Basil seed matures in 2 days and produces 3 Basil at 4 shares each.
Now here is the reason I always purchase a Mystery seed each season for 40 CROP Tokens. On the in-game market, to purchase a Basil seed it cost 2.520 Hive or 1,225 CROP token.
That is a saving of over 1,100 CROP tokens. The current price of a CROP token is $0.00111 each. So I saved $1.315 (1,185 CROP @ $0.00111) which I would have otherwise have needed to use my earnings from other Hive Projects to acquire.
XMAS EVENT Update
There are now 22 days remaining in the dCrops XMAS Event.
I had only 90 Candy Canes at last post. All of my actions today earned me more Candy Canes.

I now have enough to get three mystery seed. I would like to try getting one of the Xmas "Present" or "Reward Chest" but with the luck I am having getting value from the mystery seed, I might just redeem my candy canes for those instead. I still have over 20 days to decide so there is no rush at the moment.
