In a city lived Jorge, a 10 year old boy who in his short life had never had a pet, since his younger brother was allergic to the hair of cats and dogs, for that reason he had never had the experience of living with one. However, in a few hours their uncle would arrive from the jungle and bring them a very small pet, the children did not know what kind of animal it could be and the only thing he told them was that it ate coffee beans and liked to drink black coffee. Jorge thought it was some kind of miniature monster, but they still had to wait for their uncle's arrival to find out.
When his uncle arrived home they noticed that he was carrying a small box in his hands, when he uncovered it he saw something that had very short hair, brown in color and with very ugly characteristics, just like a monster's. Jorge was very excited, since he would finally have his first pet, someone to play with. Jorge was very excited, since he would finally have his first pet, someone to play with. They immediately went up to his room so as not to cause a scandal and much less for his neighbors to see him. This little boy made him a house out of cardboard, put a piece of sheeting, his respective coffee beans and his container of black coffee. They spent hours and hours of laughter, watching him move and eat, calling him Toto.
Several weeks went by and everything was going well with his new pet, he spent the whole day sleeping, but at night he was unbearable, he would run, ride on the bed, but for Jorge this was happiness, he stopped studying to spend time with his pet. One night this boy carefully went down the stairs with Toto to see what they were eating and what he could give to his pet, since the coffee was running out, he tried to give him bread with milk and nothing, a coffee milkshake and he did not like it, the only thing he liked was to drink black coffee and maybe other coffees, but he did not have enough to make it at that moment.
Several days had passed and Jorge had run out of coffee at home, so he had to go out shopping, leaving Toto alone locked in his room, with the window and door locked to prevent him from escaping and avoid problems.
He went with his uncle to the supermarket, they spent hours shopping, they had chosen one of the best brands of coffee for Toto, as well as another series of products that had coffee to see if he could vary his food. When they had finished shopping and were ready to go home, Jorge met up with his classmates and they began to play, forgetting his pet for a while. After a while, he received a call from his mother, who told him that something was not right at home.
When he arrived home he realized that the window was open and Toto was not there, he had escaped, it was a moment of great tension and concern, because if they saw him they would think that he was a monster and had to be captured, but in reality for Jorge he was his beloved pet. They called him by name and Jorge left coffee beans on the floor to see if he would arrive.
He spent days and days looking for his best friend and could not find him, until he decided to check his neighbor's yard, as she had planted several coffee bushes and there was Toto, because the only thing he felt was hungry. When she saw him she was thrilled to have found her pet safe and sound, she offered him a fistful of coffee beans and immediately jumped to Jorge. It was the best moment, as he thought he would never find his friend Toto.
Jorge took him home and from that day on he never left him alone again, he was always there to take care of him and give him his food. Suddenly Jorge's brother arrived and when he saw him for the first time, he was surprised and did not come very close because he started sneezing, but he did not want to leave because he was amazed to see Toto. Jorge's brother, realizing that he liked coffee very much, offered him some of the coffee he was drinking.
Jorge realized that Toto was not the same restless, playful pet and did not want to eat, he was very worried about him, he did not know what was happening to him and his brother when he saw him so scared told him that he had given him coffee with milk, almost causing the death of his pet due to milk intoxication. However, everything went well and after several days of treatment and special care, Toto recovered. Jorge never left his pet alone again, as I understand that they are like another member of the family who must be cared for, loved and above all be aware of their diet, as all pets have their favorite foods.
