Every morning, young Millie would get up in high spirits to make a cup of coffee, grab her purse and head around the corner from her house to catch the bus to school. It was a daily routine that she couldn't miss. Sometimes Millie missed the bus to stay at her father's house, who had only a few days left to leave the country, and she had the opportunity to see many instrument stores just to look at the prices and continue on her way.
When it was her turn to walk, she felt that the minutes were eternal, so she had to take long steps in order to arrive on time, before the bell rang and thus not have to pay the punishment that the school gave her. Millie's spirits were the best, since she was two weeks away from finishing school and not having to return to the place that had become her second home, so Millie had to prepare herself and not make any mistakes.
She finished her class and all she could think about was being able to go and buy that instrument that caught her attention, being a brown piano that had a high price. Millie walked through all the corridors of the school just thinking, since she could not find a way to raise the money. The whole day went by like that, until she finally got out of her last class at school and once again took that path, no doubt noticing that the store was closed.
She arrived home and immediately Millie began to talk to her father, about the notes and in one of those she told him that she was very interested in playing an instrument, as several of her classmates play the piano and Millie listens to them play and it is a wonder. Millie looked at her father with a very affectionate face to see if he could give her that gift, without a doubt, she did not receive any answer and everything continued as normal, where she was able to do some pending tasks.
Millie was sad because she did not know how long it would be before she would be able to see him again. Tears and pain were the only things this young woman felt, since it was the first time this had happened to her with a family member and she never imagined it. Millie had to go to her grandmother's house and wait there all the time, so she could be with her grandmother.
The days went by and Millie was still sad and had no word from her father, something that worried her a lot, she kept an eye on her phone to see if she received a message from her father, but nothing. The time came when she had to present her final paper at school and thus be able to graduate, where tears came to her and she could do nothing, since life for this young Millie was just beginning.
Millie was adapting to the loneliness of her father, but one morning someone knocked on the door and in order to give her a big gift that came from a big store, something that surprised her and without thinking she noticed the same piano that she looked at in the store at the door of her house. Millie couldn't stop jumping with happiness, since she could finally do what she was most passionate about and next to this piano, she had a note from her father that said: When I come back home, I will teach you how to play it.
A young girl, who was very excited and from that moment her life began to change, since she dedicated herself to play the piano and even more to have the opportunity that her father fulfilled her dream and despite the distance and the emptiness that created in this young girl, she always keeps that memory and the words of her father.
