There he is. Hi. Welcome. If you clicked this, it means you’ve made it to another day. Congratulations. That’s no small feat, but it’s not the only challenge awaiting you today my Brave Mouser. There are Digital Giants to slay, parts of the blockchain unexplored and Fair Trans-Atlantic Maidens who are waiting to feed you grapes, and make you chicken soup.
well, maiDEN plural, THOSE OTHER MAIDENS BETTER WATCH THEIR BACK!
3 Things I’m Grateful For Today…
- a reasonably productive day
- i’m all set up to crush tomorrow
- new client meeting tomorrow am- let’s go!
Now that I have your attention warrior, I find it prudent to let you know I will be engaging in digital video communications tomorrow morning with a potential employer… ok I’ve got to break character. I don’t think I could keep that up for 600 more words… I mean given enough coffee I COULD but who wants that. Im sure you don’t. Lol.
Yeah, I’m looking forward to a killer day tomorrow. It’ll be a touch warmer, the sun will be out, I’ve got my grocery errands to run, a video chat and a standard day from there on out. I’m thinking it might be a slow client day so it’s a perfect time to catch up on everything, and get a bunch more ebook work done. Also I’m dYEing to dye my hair. It’s this dusty powdery purple at the moment and I feel like if this were a video game, that would signify my life force draining. It’s always good to have the deep saturated ultraviolet vibes back.
I haven’t looked at the data, but I feel like I may have not had the best sleeps last night. I crashed hard this afternoon, and although I was on a 7ish hour work streak, I’ve been good for some more work till about 4pm. Maybe I hit an early burn trying to figure out that photoshop stuff.
If that was the case it was energy well spent because I have this hunch that that skill will serve me very well over time. Even if it’s for our own projects. Now that I kinda know what I’m doing I can start experimenting with more difficult masks and more 3d design if need be. Not that I want to be doing a ton of render work, but for folks like us, having another piece of kit in the tool belt never hurts. It’s always nice to be able to tell a client, “sure I can do that!”.
I mean, if the project’s funded, that dough might as well be going to me than someone else… I used to feel greedy for feeling that way but I honestly don’t anymore because I stand by the quality of what I do. I see SO much bad design, so many bad products, so much just half-assert, that I’m starting to think (in a humble way) that clients are LUCKY to have found us. Rather than some fly by night folks who want to collect their fiat and run.
Don’t know where I got off on that line of thought, but I think it’s like anything. If you don’t think you deserve what you’re asking for, certainly no one else will… I’m putting it out there that whatever needs to go down on this video call does go down, and that I’ll be at peace with whatever outcome comes of it.
As for you Good Sir Mouser! Take up your mighty keyboard, drink your morning brew and embark on this magnificent journey called Tuesday! I mean we’re here and there’s still oxygen left to breathe and sunlight left to soak in. As long as we got those and each other, we good ;)
I love you, and I’ll speak to you soon! <3
