Another Hive Power-Up Day has come and gone. Did you power-up in time?
Man, these come faster and faster. It was here again, and gone just as fast. Here was the intro post for this one.
The past few times I've powered-up 100 Hive. I did the same this time. It's a nice even amount. In the future I may power-up more, but currently I use a large chunk of change to fund rewards for Blockchain Poets (if you want in on those rewards, get over there and write a poem) so that limits what I have to power-up with.

This past week or so I've been doing a lot of posts about urban legends in Japan. Those have been fun to do, but have been getting far fewer upvotes and earning less than my usual posts. Going into Nov, I may throw a few more of those, but I'll also return to more photo and haiku posts since those seem to be what most of you respond best to.
Anyway.
I assume most of you know what HPUD is, but let's do a brief overview for any who don't.

If you have at least 10 Hive that you can power-up, you will get a badge from doing so. I mean, silly badges shouldn't be the reason you are powering-up, but they are a fun perk. The actual levels are as follows:
But more than that, you will increase your voting power and your stake in this platform. I've been here for over 5 years. I believe in this platform. Even if Hive doesn't moon (as we all hope know it will), I think we are building something pretty great with this platform. If you are here reading this, I might imagine you agree. Hive is growing far more slowly than some of us hope, but with that slow growth has come a greater stability than many other platforms have.
