I have thought that one of my hobbies is to know or discover small villages while I travel, Obviously this is possible to the extent that it is profitable and this on vacation, I have visited the province of Córdoba many times and always find new, cute and picturesque villages. This time we were on the route looking for a tourist attraction called the Camino de los Artesanos And during the way we decided to make a small and quick stop in a town called "La Falda".
This town is part of the Punilla department, which forms other peoples such as Villa Carlos Paz, Cosquín and is also within what is considered Sierras Chicas of Córdoba.
According to what I could read, it is a small city although I call it town, which has many attractions with a population of just over 20,000 inhabitants according to the last Senso in 2010. What I did not know is that it is well known for two national events: The National Tango Festival that is celebrated in July and the National Alfajor Festival held in October. It seems that I have not had much luck, because I have visited the area now in February.
I loved the idea of stopping here for the picturesque, abundant vegetation and the beautiful San Martin square.
In each town or city in different provinces there is a San Martin square, but it seemed very interesting, perhaps because of its design, the tranquility that is breathed there And because it is at the foot of the mountain, which offers a beautiful view and a rather pleasant atmosphere.
At the time of arriving here, it was just over 6pm, I am very attention to this church, for the style and its size, Coincidentally when we came back we made a small stop again in the skirt and I had the opportunity to take a photo at night. From far away he looked like his gigantic castle, he is very well illuminated and is even more attractive with these lights.
I think it is a very good option to make a small stop in this picturesque town that is part of the Punilla department in the province of Córdoba. Recommended :)
I hope it was to your liking both the place and some of these photos. Have a nice weekend.
That's all folks! Thanks for stopping by and appreciating.
