Last week, my university organized a Mini Gala to help students understand and appreciate the value of business. The event featured many stalls, and I had an enjoyable time. However, on my way home, I sustained a minor injury. In this post, I’ll cover everything that happened, step by step.
Sharing Thoughts: A Message from the Heart
At the gala, I came across a board inviting people to share their thoughts. My initial reaction was to search for something online, but then I decided to think deeply about what message truly resonated with me in that moment. I took my time, resisting the urge to rush or force an idea.

Eventually, I wrote: "Sometimes it's okay to give up rather than suffer more." As I’ve explained in my previous 3Speak videos, the idea of “never giving up” is overrated. If I had to broadcast one message to the masses, it would be this.
The Message Board: What's Allowed and What's Not
While reading other people's messages, I noticed that any negative or “inappropriate” ones were quickly removed. For instance, someone wrote "Yaha Bachi set karna mana hai?" (translated: "Is it not allowed to make a girlfriend?"), but it was deleted shortly after.

Sweet Treats for Messages: My Unexpected Choice
They were handing out cake and chocolates to anyone who contributed a message. I saw some people eat without writing anything, so I decided to do the opposite, I wrote a message but didn’t eat. I’m still not sure why I did that!

Picture Perfect: The Photo Frame Business
One group had set up a photo frame station where people could pay to take pictures with props and signs. The more perks you wanted, the higher the cost. It was an interesting business idea.

Spider-Man Contest: Fun or a Missed Opportunity?
Another group held a contest where participants had to pay an entry fee. The prize? A Spider-Man movie ticket. However, there was no transparency about the voting or judging process. Participants could take a picture with Spider-Man, which added a bit of fun to the experience.

The Creative Parlor: A Unique Business Idea
A group of girls had set up a parlor stall. I admired their creativity, and one of them kindly let me photograph the nail polish designs they were offering.

Gaming Galore: Competitive Fun for All
They also collaborated with a VR team, though I only managed to get a picture of their promotional poster since they had already packed up.
Blindfolded Cotton Candy Hunt: A Laughable Experience
Another stall charged students to play two-player games. It was a fun experience and added a competitive touch to the event.

There was also a unique game where blindfolded participants competed to collect cotton candy. It was both amusing and entertaining to watch.

A Small Injury and a Quick Fix
Unfortunately, I injured myself on the way home due to damage on public transport. I quickly used some plastic bags to patch the issue and prevent others from getting hurt.

Wrapping Up: A Day Well Spent
Overall, it was a fun and memorable day! I’d love to know which part of the gala you found most interesting. Please share your thoughts in the comments below!
