Took these pictures over the weekend while at the park with the family. Yup, while the rest of the world is on lock down, things are still up and running in Japan. The only thing locked down are the elementary to High-schools..... and they open next week.π€
Talking to family in Jamaica, Germany and the USA, they are on lockdown and are surprised that things are free Willy in Japan. π³
Iβve been going to work non-stop. The only thing Iβve been doing different is not going to crowded places like malls and bars. Outdoors in the park is a must as having 4 year old twins at home all day is asking for trouble .... double trouble πΆπΎπΆπΎ.
One of the most spectacular seasonal events will take place throughout the week in Japan. Its called Ohamani and the event usually seas crowds doing picnics under the cherry blossom trees. The government has warned the masses to not linger and just view the trees but I really donβt think many will listen. Just last week scores of people in Tokyo were getting their drink on under the trees.
One of two things can happen in Japan. The cases for Rona could explode or Japan could just get lucky. Its as simple as that. Many believe that Japan was hiding the real figures and not testing the masses in order to save face and carry on with the Olympics. But the Olympics was officially postponed till 2021. What do I think? I think itβs gonna get serious here in a few weeks. The government has been really easy going compared to others countries.
In Jamaica, 21 cases and the country isnβt accepting anyone into the country for 2 weeks. Jamaicans in Japan and others around the world who were about to find their way home have to stay put. Many are going through this. While Japan is letting in thousands of people daily. But which is right, which is wrong π€·πΎββοΈ?
Honestly I donβt even no where to go to get tested here in Japan and I am far from worried. At this point Iβm just keeping my vibrations high and just letting things be.
I really think this lock down is good for many people as it gives them time to think, bond with their families and give the world a break. A lot of ideas will be created in these times... a lot of babies too. But it really is a time to reflect.... well if you are on lock down. Honestly though, am not jelly. Iβd rather be free.
Stay safe yβall.
