I am a native inhabitant of the city of Santa Fe and I only rarely go to the waterfront because generally one cannot get into the water since the ground is usually full of clay and sewage from the city.
Generally, most of the inhabitants go to the waterfront to enjoy the day and do some other group activities.
I took my bike and decided to go to the waterfront to take some photos and share with the community what the landscape is like from this place in my city.
In the photos you can see that at the beginning I find a bridge that I have to cross that we call the suspension bridge and it has a quite peculiar story. The construction of this bridge dates back approximately 70 years and the objective was to transport water from the town of Colstiné to the city's water treatment plant. For climatic reasons, this bridge collapsed in 1983 and was not restored for approximately 10 years until it was built again and looks like this in the photos.
The waterfront also had its renovations since one of the sections was cut due to restorations, so I only walked part of it and took photos on the river bank as well.
Within the waterfront there are many bars since at night it is very popular for night parties and some inhabitants usually go fishing.
What I really like about the waterfront is that you can see the entire city and it is a beautiful landscape, it gives the feeling that the river has no end.
I took some more photos before leaving the waterfront to show what it looks like from the beach since at the moment only a few meters of water are allowed to enter the river due to the high presence of carnivorous fish. I also took some more photos from the bridge to show how incredible the city looks in the distance.
It seems surprising that one finds magical places within the city one lives and they are so close at the same time.
