Ivan accompanied us on our boxing day ramble.
Though Ivan looks to have sprouted human legs to enjoy his human coffee, it's his sitting on my friend's Michael's lap. I thought it a funny shot.
This coffee house, as are most places here in England, is dog friendly.
And almost every other person today here had a dog. It was a mix of two types ramblers with dogs, as were we, or bicyclists in their Lycra gear, bikes parked out front.
As I mentioned in my last post about this place is it is heavily decorated and represented to the bicyclist.
You can see bikes adorn the walls and decor and also all of us were in our stocking feet.
Happily enjoying my wonderful cappuccino with my stocking clad feet.
Out front are boot pulls and places to leave your wellies and shoes with a sign asking to please do so. And I have to say it's rather fun being in public in your stocking feet.
It was a glorious walk and it's lovely to see such things as this great old bridge and all the green of the English country side.
I was rather in a good mood as well and when I got home was excited to get back to my latest drawing for my Singularity work.
I was planning on spending the rest of the day doing artwork, instead I spent it online researching why my wacom wasn't working and installed drivers on my computer.
What could have been a happy productive day of work and art turned into one of frustration.
Looking up forums about the same problem. In the end I have no solution other than driving to a curry's to see if I could buy a new hdmi adapter, which they did not have, and then just ordering it on Amazon.
It doesn't take much to flip a day from good to bad, but as I always say,
If you want to make God laugh make a Plan.
He mush have been having a belly full of rip roaring laughter today because my plan was torn to shreds.
Thus, I had planned to post earlier as well and to visit all your posts and blogs, but alas, it was not to be. So, I'm just sharing my few happy pics from the good part of my day.
I'll close with a memory FB gave me yesterday, on Christmas day, of a Christmas past when Dear Oscar the dog was alive (he looked so like Ivan the dog) and Monty, my darling little Chi 'tolerating' him on the Morris chair in mum's kitchen.
I miss Monty quite a bit too (though he is alive and well) only back in the USA at Toad Hall, awaiting my return in Spring.
I hope all of you had a lovely Christmas and a better Boxing day the did I, but at least I got to drink some good coffee, go for a good ramble and play with a darling dog, so it wasn't all bad. I do TRY and find the silver linings, but some days, they are harder to spot.
