Hello, Hivers! It’s me again Doughnahhh back with another a very exciting blog series. Today I will be sharing the continuation of my Bantayan Island journey as you will see here where every corner feels like a postcard and also every moment will turn into a story worth telling. In this blog I will gonna take you all with me as I visit some of Bantayan’s most beautiful destinations/spots to visit, from its pristine beaches and their very crystal clear waters and to the peaceful spots that made me fall in love and relax with the island even more.
Also, I will also be sharing my personal experiences in my little adventures era hehe and the unforgettable happenings during my stay here in Bantayan whether it’s meeting kind locals and enjoying the island in one day or simply soaking in the calm island vibes, I super adore it. So sit back, relax and join me as I relive for you all those wonderful memories and continue this Bantayan story with you.
This is my second time traveling to Bantayan Island but this time it feels so very different and much more special to me. My first visit was way back in 2022 or 2023 we went there last time to conduct a survey for our thesis. During that trip our main focus was the academic work and we didn't have much time to travel the places. We interviewed only the local residents we gathered data, and before that went to the Municipality of Santa Fe to formally ask for permission. Because of our very tight schedule and responsibilities during that time we didn’t really have the chance to explore the island or enjoy it, as a real tourist. The only place I was able to visit last time during my first visit that I had the chance to visit Bantayan was the Ruins only because our time was limited during that time, the place left a strong impression on me and I always remember how peaceful and beautiful it was and how it made the surroundings feel so calm and in awe of me because of it, so I promised for myself that I would surely be back because those short experiences made me fall in love with the beauty of Bantayan Island and left me wanting to come back again and see and discover more of it.
And now that day has finally come and I’m incredibly very excited. This time I will be visiting Bantayan Island with no school works anymore, no interviews, and no pressure with the time it's just my time to relax, explore and fully enjoy everything in the island has to offer. Unlike my first visit hehe but it's still memorable that was my first time I discovered the beautiful place. I’ll finally be able to roam freely this time, discover new place and truly experience the beauty of Bantayan at my own pace away from everything from workload. Thinking about it on the pier makes me feel that time even more excited, because this trip feels like a reward to myself and a fresh experience compared to my last visit.
After arriving in Bantayan Island we look for our driver after we contact him, we ride a tricycle going to our accommodation. After we arrived at our accommodation we stopped for a time to leave our things and settle in. After a few minutes, our driver calls us and tells us that it's time to continue with our tour. We informed our driver that we were hungry and we wanted to eat first so that we could have so much energy for the rest of the tour hehe. The driver agreed and then he stopped at a nearby carinderia, we quickly selected our order and placed our orders and ate our lunch immediately before continuing our journey in Bantayan Island.
My first destination is Mangrove Eco Park the Camp Sawi/Camp Wagi is located in this place also.This is a very beautiful destination that is full of nature, and it is all in one spot, therefore each attraction is distinct yet significant to me. The area is surrounded by a lot of mangroves and it gives calmness to the surroundings and also provides a very pleasant and very lovely ambiance that may absolutely rest your mind and spirit, providing also the tourists to enjoy nature while taking great images and capturing very unique images. We also stopped by their souvenir shop they sell very affordable stuff like keychains, T-shirts, ref magnets and many more to mention. You will really enjoy also roaming in the souvenir shop. It's an excellent spot to buy basic but significant keepsakes to remember your vacation and you can also give them to your loved ones for souvenirs like what I did.
My second destination is The place is extremely white sand and a very crystal-clear and blue sea it's so very beautiful, you will be amazed it makes it fully live up to its name literally. The beach is very ideal for swimming and unwinding even the kids would really love it and especially adults who love talking photos/shooting photos because of its serene and amazing atmosphere. It is one of my Bantayan Island trip highlights because of the lovely surroundings and the silky white sand.
