Hello hivers, it is me again. I want to share another part of my Korea trip that I forgot to post before.
If you remember, I shared some pictures from the palace I visited in Korea, but I still had a lot of photos left from other places. So today, I want to show you my visit to the famous Starfield Library. This place is inside a big mall in Seoul, and it is one of the most beautiful libraries I have ever seen.
When I first walked inside the mall and saw the library from afar, I was amazed right away. You can see the tall bookshelves even from a distance, and they look so elegant. The shelves go all the way up, very high, almost touching the ceiling. It looks like a giant wall of books. The lights inside the library are soft and warm, and they make the whole place look calm and bright at the same time.
As I walked closer, I could see people taking pictures everywhere.
The library is an open space, meaning there are no doors or separate rooms. It is just right there in the middle of the mall. Even if there are many people around, the place still feels peaceful because everyone is quiet while walking and looking at the books.
There are big wooden shelves filled with colorful books, and the arrangement looks very neat. When you look at the books from below, they look like decorations because of how tall the shelves are.
I took many pictures of the bookshelves because they look so fancy. The books were arranged by color and size in some parts, and that made the shelves look even more elegant. Some books are very high, and you cannot reach them, but I think those books are mainly for display to make the place look beautiful. The library has a simple but classy design. The shelves are brown wood, the floor is clean, and there are wide spaces where people can walk or sit.
There are also long tables and chairs around the library where people can sit and read. Some people were studying, while others were using their laptops. Even if the library is inside a mall, it still feels like a real reading place because the atmosphere is quiet and respectful. I also saw a small seating area with soft chairs where people can relax while reading.
One of my favorite parts of the library was the big open space in the middle. From there, you can see the tall shelves clearly, and it is a nice spot to take pictures. I took photos from different angles because every side of the library looks nice. The books, the lights, the glass ceiling, and the tall structure all make the place look like something from a movie.
Starfield Library is also surrounded by cafes and shops, so you can get a drink and then sit somewhere near the library while enjoying the view. I saw many people doing that. Some tourists, like me, were just walking around and taking pictures. I liked walking in the library because the space is wide and open. It does not feel crowded even if there are many people. There are also big screens on the side walls showing art designs or moving patterns, which make the place look more modern.
The ceiling above the library is made of glass, so natural light comes in during the day. This makes the books and shelves look even more bright and beautiful. The sunlight makes the whole place feel warm and fresh. It was nice to stand there and look up because the mix of natural light and tall shelves is very pretty.
I stayed there for a while just walking around and checking different corners of the library. Every spot looks picture perfect. The shelves are tall, the books look clean and colorful, and the whole design feels classy.
Even though I did not sit down to read, I enjoyed looking at everything. It is a place where you do not need to do much. You can just walk around and enjoy the view because the library itself looks like an artwork.
Before leaving, I took more photos of the center part of the library because that is the most iconic area. I am happy I finally got to share these photos because I almost forgot I had them. If you ever visit Korea, I think Starfield Library is a really nice place to stop by, even just for a short time. It is simple, elegant, and very unique.
