One common challenge we have as Nigerians when using gadgets that require the internet is the services offered by our network providers. The four major network providers are Mtn, Airtel, Glo and 9mobile, each with its advantage over the other in regions, cost, and availability. Older people sometimes prefer a certain network, probably because of its bonuses and charges and it takes a lot of effort to convince them into switching to another network.
Currently I have Two SIMs( Airtel and MTN), I gave out my newly bought Glo sim when I couldn't afford to manage three SIMs and I've been using these two for more than 3 years now. Initially I bought them with no particular reason but over time I realized the advantages they have over others and that's why I've kept them.

Why I prefer these Network Providers
MTN: Except for the recent increase in data price, MTN had other packages that offered cheaper data. Among other Network Providers, MTN has a lot of packages and services for its customers that meet their needs when it comes to tariffs and entertainment, but these are not my major interests. The MTN network has found a way to reach most remote areas, and that's why the slogan "anywhere you go" fits them well. MTN network has large users that makes it easy for one to use their bonuses meant for the same network. One of my major downsides is their flash messages that makes one subscribe to services which keep deducting one's airtime and their network for browsing isn't as good as airtel.
AIRTEL: Before the recent hike in price for call and data, Airtel had the best calling rate for me. I talked longer on the phone when using Airtel and the notices for low credit came with a short notice, more like a beep. Airtel also has a good service when it comes to browsing, fast and rarely goes off unlike MTN their data isn't cheap and they have less popularity and services.
Conclusion: Having two Network Providers for me means staying prepared incase disappointment comes from one, the other can serve and sometimes to have an alternative when one owes the network and doesn't have enough to pay at the moment, I have seen a lot of people suffer from the mistake of using one SIM in a time when they can't repay their debt.
