A lovely day to all the creative users of this wonderful community and I hope you all are doing well and fine, it's me again with another creative post to share with you all in this community. Imagination is the foundation of all great invention, and creativity knows no bounds when given the right medium. Today I wanted to create something from cardboard on the free time I had and I thought so much on what to create until I had this creative idea of crafting an armoured machine from cardboard. At first it was hard to get it's structure but as I persisted the final result was quite amazing, here's how I made this craft.
MATERIALS
• Carton
• Pencil
• Eraser
• Paper cutter
• Evostic gum
• Super glue
• Rubber
• Stick
• 30cm rule
• Scissors
step I
First, I began the construction of my army armoured vehicle from the wheels (tires). I used the mouth of a container to draw a circle and cut it with the help of my paper cutter and duplicated the circle into eight pieces. I again cut a rectangular carton 2 inches wide and 8 inches long and shaped the edges to have a U-shape
step 2
After doing that, I then cut my cardboard with the measurements 2 inches wide and 20 inches long, peeled one side of the cardboard which formed the chain and then I duplicated it into two.
step 3
Then I gummed the link (chain) around the 2-inch wide by 8-inch long rectangular cardboard and then gummed the four (4) pieces of the road wheel on it. I also duplicate it.
step 4
Then using my cardboard measuring 5 inches by 6.5 inches , I used it to connect the two wheels together.
step 5
The next thing I did here was to construct the armoured plate. I measured the centre plate 7.5 inches by 9 inches, the side skirt 1.5 inches by 9 inches, and the rear plate measured 1 inch by 7.5 inches. After all the measurements and cutting, I glue it together with my Evostik gum and superglue.
step 6
Then I made a cardboard measuring 1.5 inches by 3 inches, duplicated the cardboard and gummed it under the center plate.
step 7
After constructing the entire plate properly, I then mounted it on top of the wheel of the armoured machine.
step 8
After doing that, I then constructed the turret where I cut my cardboard 3 inches by 9 inches and cut another cardboard in the form of a trapezium shape. I duplicated the trapezium and gummed it at the left and right-hand side of the 3 by 9 inches carton. I then constructed a rectangular pocket at both left and right. Finally, on the turret construction, I constructed a circular top with a cover which serves as the door of the armoured vehicle and gummed it with super glue.
step 9
Then I made the main gun ( barrel) by using a peeled cardboard with the length 9 inches by 3 inches and then I folded it with the help of my stick and gum the edges of it. I formed the muzzle which is the top end of the barrel with a peeled paper measuring 1 inch wide. Then I attach the barrel on the turret where I made a hole and gum it with glue and also made a small covering on the barrel.
step 10
Then I attached the turret on top the plate of the cardboard armoured machine and then my cardboard craft was now ready.
Here's my final result
In the realm of creativity, even the most ordinary materials can be turned into a stunning piece of creation. An intricate, battle-ready vehicle sculpted from humble sheets of corrugated paper called cardboard is an example of how I expressed my creativity. I hope you all enjoyed my post and feel free to drop your thoughts on the comments section, thanks for sticking with me till the end.
