A beautiful day to all the creative users of this wonderful community, it's a pleasure being in here once more and I hope you all are doing great, As always today I have come to share my creativity with you all and I hope you will like it. Creativity knows no boundaries, and when it comes to the world of fashion even the simplest materials can be transformed into something remarkable. Indeed my creativity has gotten me far in this community and I also want to explore more of my creativity today by crafting a high heeled shoe entirely from cardboard and other simple materials, below are the details of my work.
Materials Needed
• Waste carton/ cardboard
• Embossed paper
• Coloured paper
• White acrylic colour
• Paper cutter
• Pencil
• Scissors
• Ruler
• Pencil
• Eraser
• Black wool
• Evostic gum
step I
In this first step, I drew the sole of the shoe on a cardboard and then used my Scissor to cut it out. I then cut a rectangular cardboard measuring 7 cm high then peeled one side of the rectangle for easy folding.
step 2
With the help of my evostic gum I then glue the two shape which I have cut in step one, I also covered the remaining side with another cardboard.
step 3
Here, I measured the remaining length of the sole on the cardboard and cut it out. I also form the heel of the shoe which is 7.5cm high.
step 4
In this step I then completed the formation of the sole of the shoe by gumming the cardboard constructed in step 2 and 3 respectively.
step 5
I formed the landing of the shoe using pink colour paper and gummed it on the sole of the shoe using evostic gum. I also cut black embossed paper 5 cm high and gummed it around the front sole.
step 6
I then used pink coloured paper to seal the sole and the heel of the shoe. I also cut black embossed paper 1 cm high and gummed it at the bottom of the heel. Finally, I cut the shining bias and gummed it at the middle of the heel.
step 7
I then cut an oval shape of black embossed paper and attach it to the landing of the shoe
step 8
After doing that, I formed the front top of the shoe. From the sole of the shoe, I cut the landing, And then seal it with pink cardboard paper. I again cut a rectangular black embossed paper measuring 3cm wide and gummed it on the landing. Finally, I gummed 1 cm bias material at the centre of the black embossed paper of the front top.
step 9
Next I then mounted the top of the shoe on the front part of the sole using my gum, then I made the fastening mechanism which is at the top of the heel.
step 10
Finally I used white cotton board to make white dots around the shoe and I also used white acrylic colour to finish it up, and then my craft was ready.
Here's my final result below
Through this artistic endeavor, one thing becomes clear: creativity is not about the materials at hand but about the vision behind them. It proves that with a little creativity, even the most unexpected materials can be repurposed into something stylish and extraordinary. I hope you all liked my craft, i will see you all in my next post and bye for now and have a great day.
