I was informed through a notification that this post had mentioned me, in which reveals that they purchased my APARTAMENT, the rarest of the rare NFT in dCity.
In fact, its so rare, there are only 3 of these cards in existence:
What happened was this, and I remember it clearly. set up the game, and put out some feelers to test it out. I think it was me, but I might be wrong, who reported to him that 'apartament' was spelled wrong, and the 'apartment' correction was quickly implemented. Only those 3 apartaments managed to get printed in between the initial release and the correction.
Now, my name will likely never be on that list again, but I am quite happy to pass it on and that the transaction will validate the interest and value placed on this amazing and well developed game. Its possible one day I will be like the guy who paid 10,000 BTC for two pizzas, but its still important to engage in the market for the game value to be validated.
Is it really the most expensive dCity NFT ever sold?
Of this I am actually not sure. At current SIM prices, its only about 240 HIVE, or ~185 dollars.
In HIVE terms it might not be the most expensive ever sold, as we have had some mania phases with dCity before, but in SIM terms I am relatively confident that this is the case.
Let's take a look at the top competitor, the Drone Factory:
The most recent high of 189,000 sim, or 205 swap.hive, shows us that this building is indeed valuable. With 5 MIC, 2 Labs and a parking inside, this building is a great money maker in times of war.
But even this top card is unlikely to have topped 250k sim! Anyone can correct me if I am wrong, there is no good tool for me to search for most expensive cards ever sold. But I can search for the market history of 'APARTAMENT' card itself:
Here we can clearly see that my patience has paid off, and I think the future is bright for both dCity and its rarest NFT.
