Compliments of the season to everyone. I wish to share a very simple DIY from a waste material, toilet roll, and I do hope you love this simple flower vase..
Materials Needed;
- Glue stick or top gum
- Cardboard ( white green and yellow)
- Pencil
- Ruler
- Scissors
- Toilet Roll
- Red ribbon
Step 1;
Cut out a rectangular from the white cardboard, its measurements are 20cm in width and 11cm in length (These are not standard measurements, you can play around it when making your own, but it must be able to wrap round the toilet roll completely);
Step 2;
Then I place the toilet roll on the white cardboard and wrap it round with it.
This is how it looks like after being wrapped, the cardboard totally covers it.
Step 3;
Cut out a circle š“ as a bottom, to cover one end of the vase;
Step 4;
Then cut the green cardboard into thin strips measuring 16cm by 1cm, just enough to go round the vase
Then make tiny cuttings along one edge of the strip as is shown below;
Step 5;
Then I start glueing the cut strips round the vase, working my way from the bottom up;
Step 6;
I cut out these tiny shapes from the white and yellow cardboard papers.
And glue them onto the vase, you can use beads instead (but sorry I couldn't get the ones that would simply stick to the paper, so I decided to make these paper designs myself š).
Step 7;
Then I glue the red ribbon round the top of the vase like this;
Step 8;
Done! My flower vase
