Bendiciones.
Hey, Hive friends⊠Iâve been away from the blog for a while, but Iâve always been looking forward to coming back. Iâve been working as a sales associate at a company, which has kept me a bit busy, but Iâm eager to start writing again and share the things I really love doingâŠ
I consider myself a creative person whoâs good at doing lots of things, so my return here after a few months is through crafts. A few months ago, my partner gave me a ready-to-assemble closet, and I wanted some organizers. Iâd gone to some supermarkets and seen some made of cardboard that cost between $12 and $20, and I thought to myself, âI think I can make some myselfâ đ, so I found a box, bought some POP fabric that cost me $1.90 per meter, silicone glue for $0.95, and made this organizer.
Simple organizer box:
In addition to the box (the main component), I used POP fabric, silicone glue, scissors, and clips to hold the fabric in place.
I thought I was going to have to glue a flap onto the box to close it, but when I peeled back one side to make the main opening, I realized it was already like that, so I was thrilled when I saw it.
Iâm talking about this flapâit really made me happy:
Hereâs how I covered it:
1- I unfolded the fabric and draped it over the box to figure out where to cut, using clothespins to keep the fabric from moving. I thought it would be easier to start with the fin, so I did that first. Then I covered the entire lid, the back, the bottom, and finished with the front. And hereâs what the box looks like
2- Next, I worked on the sides, and as you can see in the image, there was a gap that I covered with a piece of fabric from the bottom, and it turned out like this:
After finishing the sides, I trimmed off the excess fabric, and then it was time to line the inside. Iâll tell you that while I was doing this, I had guests over, and we were watching The Exorcist, so I spent a lot of time just sitting there doing nothing while watching the movie, haha⊠I watch these kinds of movies during the day and with plenty of people around⊠just in case⊠đđ
We lined the walls of the box with the fabric; I didnât have much left, so I used scraps for some parts...
I still had to cover the bottom. I used a measuring tape to figure out how much I needed, found a piece of foam, and glued it to the bottom.
Hereâs what this beautiful, simple box for organizing our things looks like.
Once it was ready, I let it dry, then wiped the inside with fabric softener to give it a nice scent. I made this organizer box to store sheets, so I got to work folding and organizing them inside. I thought it looked really nice because I donât have that many, and I also put some of my sonâs blankets in there...
And then I placed it in its final spot...
This box turned out super simple, practical, and best of all, low-costâwhich is exactly what you want. I hope you liked it. I have other plans to use the same technique to organize other things.
Thank you all for reading my post... Thank you for your kind words, welcome home again, big hug, weâll be seeing each other more often... Blessings.
