Damn, that is a mess indeed! When living in such a tiny city, or town, one wouldn't expect to end up in a parking lot type of situation when wanting to travel home to something and/or back again. Damn those Dutchies!
I decided to move as little as possible from home to office and back. Working mostly from home. I think when having to go through such mess, that is the best way forward for the time being.
The dips and spikes are massive in energy these days. Am making use of the dips for higher electricity consumption in the late mornings and early afternoon. Today between 10:30 and 15:30 no energy costs, it is about zero (excluding all the taxes, VAT and electric company markups, ie the price from the exchange market).
Yesterday I heard about politics in EU. Spain likes to produce more renewable energy and export to the rest of Europe. They need more electricity cables for this, which will have to pass through France. The French say: No, we dont allow this! In favour of nuclear power. Politics at its highest level. I guess, we need more power at EU level for topics like this, so that presidents and prime ministers of individual countries can be overruled in matters like this.
