This is an interesting jumping spider that I managed to find in my workplace. I think I have never encountered this species before. But the sad part is that there is not much information that I can get about this spider because of this.
This is the mangrove jumper or Ligurra latidens. And this one more likely to be a male and they are also found in coastal vegetation. also found in coastal vegetation.. Like most of jumping spiders, this jumper also doesn't weave any web but hunts the prey instead.
An interesting behavior of this spider is that it doesn't just run away when I try to photograph it. But rather went into a defense mode and tried to show how dangerous it can be. You can see from the photos below how it raised its front leg, like its ready for a fight.
