I greet you all my fellow Christians, I hope you are all doing well by God's grace. Today afternoon message was very touching that I can't kept it to myself alone. I will then like to share what I learnt today from the afternoon Bible studies.
God, our maker and our Redeemer who live in heaven is the most high God and worth to be worshiped. He is the creator of all creatures in the universe. It may be an ignorant to worship idols which are the hand work of God. These objects peoples worship are mere objects made from God's creatures. So brethren, why not worship the creator himself? He created we the humans so it is sinful to turn to worship other gods.
Genesis. 2:7
And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground and breathe into his nostrils the breath of life, and the man become a living creature.
God created man in His own image. He gave us spirit that lives within us and keep us alive. Without the spirit in us, we are nothing.
James. 2:16
For as the body without the spirit is dead, so also, faith apart from works is dead.
We should worship God by faith. He is the truthful God who never lie. He gave His only begotten son to die for our sins.
Luke: 23:46
Then Jesus calling out with a loud voice, said, Father into your hands I commit my spirit! And having said this, He breath His last.
For God love to us, His only begotten son was treated like a slave and killed on the cross. He suffered on the cross for our sake.
John 10:7
For this reason the father loves me, because I lay down my life that I may take it up again.
This Love is amazing. Can your father or mother show you this amazing love? Can they go to the extend of given out their life for you? It will be very difficult to answer this question because they will not. But God gave His only begotten son for sacrifices for you and I.
It is also a sin to talk against God who created you. Because He is the ruler and it is an abomination to speak against someone who rule you, not to talk of created you. It is even a sin to talk against the high priest of God.
Acts. 23: 5
And Paul said, I did not know, brothers, that he was the high priest, for it is written, you shall not speak evil of a ruler of your people.
God Has power over all things. He have power to give life and to take life. He is controller of all things. He makes life and takes it anytime He wish.
Ecclesiastes. 8:8
No man has power to retain the spirit, or power over the day of death. There is no discharge from war, nor will wickedness deliver those who are given to it.
