Technology, A Major Help To My Education

Technology is a miracle to man kind in general. Life has become more easier and enjoyable with it's advancement. Technology has not only affected one aspect of life, but like a spirit it touches everywhere. A machine substitute for almost every kind of work man does had been made, this has gone a long way reducing workload on man. How beautiful!
Although technology has contributed a lot to man kind but it also has adverse effect on men. As good as those machines are they have their negative sides that sometimes frustrate the life of man. Guess it's a normal thing with life, the saying everything that has an advantage also has a disadvantage explains it better.
Technology has done so much for I and many others too in education. Although at some point it could be a distraction if we allow the gadgets take control over us. In Education, technology has been like a saviour to me. I remember those days I had no books to study or to even do my assignment. you know how expensive books can be right? And you know I can't really buy the books for every subject.
My parents were not rich, if I say I would buy every books then I am sure my school fees would be tempered with. That stress of having thoughts on how to do my assignment has be rolled away the very moment I found the internet.
Right from secondary, since I was given a browsing phone, assignment and researches has been something very easy for me. The only thing I would need is data on my phone and that is all. No need to start visiting uncles and aunties and be begging them to do assignment for me. I did it all my self. That has made me even learnt more because everytime I do assignment by myself I discover that I learn extra things.
I stopped bothering my parents about books, I got only the necessary ones like English, mathematics, physics, biology, chemistry but the rest I just go for research on anything I want to learn.
In higher institution, you know how it works almost everything is computerized, sometimes lecturers just give assignment to the class representative and it is usually pasted online. Some notes are also given online though during my days in a school we didn't use online notes. But I can't tell the number of times I snapped notes when I have no money to buy and it went a long way for me because I read it and I passed my examination Hehe.
Should we talk about assignment? We all know that without the internet assignment is almost impossible in higher institution. Most of the questions are not what you can just get the answers from a text book. You have to go for further research unless you want to copy from others else that is the way. All of that can not not be done without the computers.
How about project? Without computers project would have been a death sentence for me. Just imagine sitting down and brainstorming what to write without researching. How are we even going to print the work after it is done? Where do we store the information we gather for the research? Without technology honestly education would be very boring and very difficult.
Technology has done so much for me both in Education and other aspects of life. without it I really can't tell how I would have suffered, although we know how phones are. At some points distraction would always be there but it is left for us to know how to handle it.
Part of the major distractions I had from technology during school was the social media. Facebook really dealt with me hehe. But if you know what you want, you would know that there is time for everything. We just have to learn how to sudue those gadgets and all will go well.
The Future of Education With Respect to Technology
Obviously, education is going to be a wonder in the nearest future with respect to Technology. One thing I grew up to see changing up for the better everyday is technology. With all those gadgets available education would be very fun.
Look at online classes, in those days there was nothing like learning from home. You have no option than to leave your home to school inorder to get lectures or even school but today, you can school right in your home through your phone, Isnt that beautiful?
I have watched on television how that some schools use television to teach pupils in junior classes, how amazing. All the kids needs to do is just keep repeating what they hear and boom learning is already taking place. Both the teacher and the pupils would less stressed.
This is my opinion though but I think, with technology, expenses would be greatly reduced for both teachers and students. No need to buy hard copy books. You can get them online. You don't have to be scared of loosing the books, you can get another one from your friend incase yours is missing or even download them again.
Learning would be more fun and real to the students because they would be presented imagines and videos of whatever they are studying.
We all know that some of the physical instructional materials are very hard to get. Sometimes teachers even get confused trying to give their students the image of whatever they are teaching. But with Technology, a video clip or picture can be shown to the students using, phones, laptops or even television.
In conclusion, As humans I think positioning our hearts to get either the best or worst out of whatever comes our way will do us good by saving us from depression and unecessary worries.
Life is designed to give both the sweet and the bitter. We must learn to adjust to enjoy and grow in which ever comes our way. You see the reason why we most people suffer from depression is because we expect a lot out life and forget to remember that life doesn't always gives us what we want.
As good as technology is, it has a weakness too, so don't go about painting it bad because it has affected you negatively, don't be surprised it could be the reason why someone out there has done something reasonable in life. Just learn to adjust and sudue it and adapt and if you can't then quite, there's nothing wrong with quitting what doesn't work for you. Quit and look for your style instead of condemning it.
