I remember the time when I got interested into hive due to the financial articles posted on leofinance and other communities. I decided to sign up after that. I realized that It was not easy to get myself onboarded on Hive.
Ecency made it easier and so does the leofinance. However often the new users are not aware of where, what and how of the hive blockchain. Some get onboarded through game interface like splinterlands, dcity etc. Some use the 3speak, dbuzz type platforms to get active on the hive chain.
Is it easy? Nope. It takes some time to learn how to get around reward, hive power and the content posting. All of this goes to show that there is a resistance for adoption of this chain. What are some of the things that Hive onboarding lacks? Let's discuss.
Hive Wallet as an Onboarding App
Currently there is very few visibility of the Hive on the app stores or the mobile interface. Sure there are some of the communities who have developed the apps but overall, one needs the wallet app that can be used on android and Apple as a singular source for fund transfer, power up and power down activities.
What this will do? It will help the people with limited tech knowledge to get invested into the platform. As apps are forced through UI to be easy for the new users. Which makes having the mobile Wallet as a good source of onboarding people.
Hive Onboarding Groups outside Hive
There are plenty of people helping out or directing them on hive blockchain. However we need people outside hive. Like we need people on twitter, facebook, instagram, titktok(yeah I just said that lol).
What this will do? It will help new users to discover the Hive blockchain. And they can choose to either play games, write content or show themselves through video and audio formats. So that would help in adoption of the blockchain.
Local shops Accepting Hive
St.kitts and the Nevis has gained a lot of adoption of the bitcoin cash. I posted on noise.cash about this activity. They did through small stores. They didn't ask govt in day 1. Instead they worked on small stores and used them to go viral, which helped both parties.
We can do the same. We can have some shops accept hive and hive dollar by means of an app. This way they can go viral and also this would help get some notice in the local places. Which increases the adoption of hive.
What do you think?
I have been testing out my theories so far on what works and what doesn't with the adoption of the hive blockchain. Do you think these efforts are enough? What are some of the actions should we take in this context?
