Aprendí a tejer pulseras desde muy chica, tenía 8 años cuando una compañerita de mi salón llevó un libro lleno de instrucciones para hacer diversos modelos de pulseras y nos enseñó a todos los de la clase a hacerlas. El nombre de estas era "Friendship bracelets", o pulseras de la amistad.
Con el pasar del tiempo este hobby se convirtió en un trabajo para mi. Comencé a venderlas, pero como me ocupaba mucho tiempo y ya luego no tenía como fotografiarlas, lo deje de lado.
Afortunadamente, ya eso cambio y cuento con un buen equipo para poder fotografiar mi mercancía y me surgió el impulso de retomar mi negocio de artesanías.
Este tipo de pulseras en forma de V se le conoce como Chevron, aunque tiene la variante que cuenta con un borde de color.
A continuación te explicaré paso a paso como puedes hacer tu mismo en casa tu Pulsera Chevron con bordes.

I learned to weave bracelets from a very young age, I was 8 years old when a classmate in my class brought a book full of instructions to make various models of bracelets and taught everyone in the class how to make them. The name of these was 'Friendship bracelets', or friendship bracelets.
Over time this hobby became a job for me. I started selling them, but since it took me a lot of time and then I didn't have a way to photograph them, I put it aside.
Fortunately, that has now changed and I have a good team to be able to photograph my merchandise and the impulse arose to resume my craft business.
This type of V-shaped bracelet is known as Chevron, although it has the variant that has a colored border.
Next I will explain step by step how you can make your Chevron Bracelet with edges at home.

Para esta pulsera estaremos utilizando 4 colores de hilo, uno ira en ambos bordes y los otros se irán intercalando en el centro.
Los hilos deben tener aproximadamente dos metros de largo. Vamos a doblarlos a la mitad, hacemos un nudo en el extremo donde están el centro de los hilos y dejamos una pequeña argolla con la que amarraremos la pulsera.
Ubicamos una base firme y colocamos el extremo con la argolla bien sujetado.
Yo uso una lonchera que tengo desde chiquita 😊, esta me ajusta muy bien la base de la pulsera.
For this bracelet we will be using 4 colors of thread, one will go on both edges and the others will be interspersed in the center.
The threads should be approximately two meters long. We are going to fold them in half, we make a knot at the end where the center of the threads are and we leave a small ring with which we will tie the bracelet.
We locate a firm base and place the end with the ring securely fastened.
I use a lunch box that I have had since I was little 😊, this one fits the base of the bracelet very well.
Ahora acomodamos los hilos de la siguiente manera: el color que quieras colocar en el borde lo colocas en los extremos, en mi caso es el color morado.
Luego ubicas los hilos en la secuencia que gustes. Yo coloqué primero el rosa, el amarillo y finalmente el blanco.
Iniciamos el tejido de izquierda a derecha, comenzando con el hilo morado.
Tomamos el hilo rosa y lo colocamos en la punta del dedo, luego pasamos el hilo morado por la parte superior, como se muestra en el primer gif.
Esto hará que el tejido vaya en dirección hacia la derecha, pero como queremos que el hilo morado se mantenga en el borde, así que vamos a hacer una segunda lazada pasando el hilo morado por la parte inferior del hilo rosa. Esto lo llevará en dirección contraria.
Repetiremos este paso al inicio de todas las vueltas con el hilo morado, así crearemos poco a poco el borde de la pulsera.
Una vez hecho el punto morado, comenzamos con el hilo rosa. Hacemos dos lazadas con cada una de las hebras, como se muestra en el segundo gif.
Pasaremos el hilo rosa por la parte superior de los otros hilos para que vaya en dirección hacia la derecha.
Al llegar al centro nos detenemos y vamos a tejer el lado derecho de la pulsera.
Now we arrange the threads in the following way: the color you want to place on the edge you place on the ends, in my case it is purple.
Then you place the threads in the sequence you like. I placed the pink first, the yellow and finally the white.
We start the weaving from left to right, starting with the purple thread.
We take the pink thread and place it on the tip of the finger, then we pass the purple thread through the top, as shown in the first gif.
This will make the knitting go in a clockwise direction, but since we want the purple yarn to stay on the edge, we are going to make a second loop by pulling the purple yarn under the pink yarn. This will take you in the opposite direction.
We will repeat this step at the beginning of all the turns with the purple thread, thus we will gradually create the edge of the bracelet.
Once the purple stitch is done, we start with the pink thread. We make two loops with each of the strands, as shown in the second gif.
We will pass the pink thread on top of the other threads so that it goes in a clockwise direction.
When we reach the center we stop and we are going to weave the right side of the bracelet.
Ahora repetimos el proceso con el hilo morado pero esta vez lo haremos al contrario. Pasamos primero el hilo por la parte inferior del hilo rosa y luego por la parte superior para llevarlo nuevamente hacia la derecha.
Tomamos el hilo rosa y hacemos dos lazadas con cada hilo, pasandolo por la parte inferior para que el tejido vaya en dirección hacia la izquierda.
Al llegar al centro tomamos el hilo rosa y hacemos un nudo, esto no importa en que dirección lo hagamos ya que no cambiará la forma de la pulsera.
Now we repeat the process with the purple thread but this time we will do it the other way around. We first pass the thread through the lower part of the pink thread and then through the upper part to bring it back to the right.
We take the pink thread and make two loops with each thread, passing it through the lower part so that the fabric goes in the direction to the left.
When we reach the center we take the pink thread and we make a knot, this does not matter in which direction we do it since it will not change the shape of the bracelet.
Ahora repetimos este mismo proceso en cada una de las vueltas hasta lograr el largo deseado.
Asegurate de ajustar bien los hilos a medida que los vayas tejiendo.
Los hilos se iran corriendo hasta llegar nuevamente a su ubicación inicial.
Como ves en la segunda foto, la siguiente vuelta sera nuevamente de color rosa.
Esta pulsera puedes hacerla con la cantidad de hilos que desees, pero recuerda que para que se haga el borde de forma correcta debes mantener los hilos de color en los extremos.
Now we repeat this same process in each of the rows until we achieve the desired length.
Make sure to adjust the threads well as you weave them.
The threads will run until they reach their initial location again.
As you can see in the second photo, the next round will be pink again.
You can make this bracelet with as many threads as you want, but remember that for the edge to be made correctly you must keep the colored threads at the ends.
Para finalizar hacemos un nudo y con los hilos sobrantes vamos a tejer dos trenzas, con ellas amarraremos la pulsera a nuestra muñeca.
To finish we make a knot and with the remaining threads we are going to weave two braids, with them we will tie the bracelet to our wrist.
