What are your travel habits like? Delve into the specifics: How much do you pack? Do you prefer long-distance journeys or short ones? Share your preferences and experiences in detail.
When traveling I do not like to eat but I do have my drinks intact, no one will ever deny me of taking malt when traveling, I can do without eating for a day when traveling but that malt is part of me that I can never do without, I am not used to eating outside maybe because it is the way I was brought up I do not like eating on the way when traveling.
My packing habit that has become part of me now is that I love to pack my luggage on the day that I will be traveling unlike my mother who will pack a month before she embarks on any journey, this habit is so bad that I do forget most things and be buying one or two things on the way which I have them at home but forgot to pack them.
I remember when I was going for my youth service, I packed my bag a night before leaving because I had already booked my space and the bus was leaving as early as possible so I decided to pack a night before the journey.
I first packed all my necessary documents for my clearance because it is a very far journey, I was posted to Akwa-Ibom and I am staying in Abuja so if I forget those documents there is no how I would get them back before the documentation, so this is so important then I packed it first, the next thing was my provisions but I forgot one of my important kits which is the white shoe and socks that I bought for the parade.
When I was unboxing that was when I realized that I had left those things at home because I packed them in a separate place I had to visit the Mammie market to get a new one at a very expensive price, we all know that Mammie market sells triple price of the original price, I was so shocked when I heard the price but I was left with no option than to get it at that price, Mammie market price is like a fixed price, no one will ever reduce the price for you because I tried like four shops and they all say the same thing.
I still have not learned my lesson because this has happened again but one thing I can never forget is my phone charger with my earpiece, there is no how I want to travel that I will forget these two things, they have their places where I always keep them safe, my charger is my strength when it comes to traveling and my earpiece is the stronghold.
I prefer long-distance journeys as much as I am comfortable and no one is disturbing us on the road, I love to travel in a company's vehicle because I know I will be comfortable and the company I love to travel with is GIGM, their customer service is top notch and very comfortable when traveling in their vehicle, no police will stop them on the road and their packaging is one of the best.
When traveling a distance journey I love to plug my earpiece and start to play music, music keeps me from sleeping, I do not like to sleep when traveling so I do get enough sleep a night before traveling, and most times I can be watching a movie inside the vehicle just to avoid sleeping, lest I forget my power bank is also part of the things I can never forget when traveling, but I do not think it is that important because whenever I am traveling I do have a space to charge inside the vehicle that is if I am going with the company's vehicle because everyone has their seat with a port where you can charge your phone.
I enjoy long-distance journeys so much and I wish I could reduce my bad habit of packing loads and forgetting things.
