Ustroń en invierno [ESP/ENG]

Hola a todos! No es la primera vez que estamos en Ustroń (Polonia) pero si la primera vez que vamos allí en invierno y la verdad es que disfrutamos mucho la experiencia, especialmente porque a pesar de que era un día frio, no había viento pero si había sol que nos calentaba un poco. Les cuento que este viaje no estaba en nuestros planes del fin de semana, de hecho fue un viaje improvisado el mismo día o diría que unos minutos antes de ir, pero todo salió bien.

Hello everybody! It is not the first time we are in Ustroń (Poland) but it is the first time we go there in winter and the truth is that we really enjoyed the experience, especially because even though it was a cold day, there was no wind but there was sun that warmed us up a bit. I tell you that this trip was not in our plans for the weekend, in fact it was an improvised trip the same day or I would say a few minutes before going, but everything went well.

Como ven, a Ustroń nos acompañó una de las nenes, porque si, ya ellas van con nosotras a los paseos y por supuesto también nos acompañó Olivia quien estaba bastante preparada con sus algunas capas de ropa para no pasar frío. Una hora y quince minutos nos tomó llegar a Ustroń desde Sosnowiec y lo primero que hicimos al llegar allí además de buscar un lugar para estacionar que fue bastante fácil la verdad (porque no había tanta gente como otras veces que hemos estado alli) fue empezar a caminar cerca del río vistula, ya que Ustroń está justo ahí a la orilla de este río.

As you can see, to Ustroń we were accompanied by one of the kids, because yes, they already go with us on the rides and of course we were also accompanied by Olivia who was quite prepared with some layers of clothes to keep warm. One hour and fifteen minutes it took us to get to Ustroń from Sosnowiec and the first thing we did when we got there besides looking for a place to park which was quite easy to be honest (because there were not so many people as other times we have been there) was to start walking near the vistula river, since Ustroń is right there on the bank of this river.

A pesar de que era domingo muchos lugares estaban abiertos, especialmente las tiendas donde venden recuerdos y también oscypek que es el queso ahumado ah y pastelerías o restaurantes, yo estaba buscando unos recuerdos de Polonia pero al parecer solo tenían de Ustroń por lo que decidí no traer ninguno y solo fuimos a caminar por ahí al igual que otras personas también lo hacían. Caminando llegamos hasta la plaza de mercado de Ustroń donde nos dimos cuenta que tenían una pequeña pista de hielo y todavía tenían las decoraciones navideñas que estaban muy bonitas y es que además tenían un grande árbol que nos encantó y que seguramente por la noche encendido debería verse espectacular.

Even though it was Sunday many places were open, especially the stores where they sell souvenirs and also oscypek which is smoked cheese ah and pastry shops or restaurants, I was looking for some souvenirs from Poland but apparently they only had from Ustroń so I decided not to bring any and we just went for a walk around just like other people also did. Walking we got to the market square of Ustroń where we realized that they had a small ice rink and still had the Christmas decorations that were very nice and they also had a big tree that we loved and surely at night it should look spectacular.

Además en la plaza de mercado o Rynek también vi una pequeña tienda que creo estaba vendiendo vino caliente, nosotros pasamos a todo esto y la verdad es que solo decidimos ir a comer porque el frío nos dio hambre jajaja, incluso nos provocaba algo de sopa pero también queríamos comer panquecas en nuestro restaurante favorito allí (Naleśnikarnia Delicje) por lo que nos decidimos comer las dos cosas en el mismo lugar y todo estaba absolutamente delicioso. Luego de comer solo seguimos dando paseos por la hermosa ciudad de Ustroń que estaba bastante llena de nieve por lo que en algunos sitios se sentía como si se estuviera caminando por las nubes.

Also in the market square or Rynek I also saw a small store that I think was selling mulled wine, we passed all this and the truth is that we just decided to go eat because the cold made us hungry hahaha, it even provoked us some soup but we also wanted to eat pancakes in our favorite restaurant there (Naleśnikarnia Delicje) so we decided to eat both in the same place and everything was absolutely delicious. After eating alone we continued strolling around the beautiful city of Ustroń which was quite full of snow so in some places it felt like walking on clouds.

Lo bueno es que habían uno caminos con menos nieve por lo que no era muy difícil andar a Olivia en su cochecito por ahí, las esculturas de madera también estaban llenas de nieve al igual que el parque para niños, pero lo que me sorprendió fue ver un árbol con algunas hojas secas todavía pero luego de un par de minutos caminando decidimos que era hora de ir a la ciudad de Cieszyn (frontera con la República Checa) y que está ubicada solo a unos 20 minutos aproximadamente desde Ustroń en carro por lo que no quisimos perder la oportunidad de visitarla este día también.

The good thing is that there was one road with less snow so it was not too difficult to walk Olivia in her stroller around, the wooden sculptures were also full of snow as well as the children's park, but what surprised me was to see a tree with some dry leaves still but after a couple of minutes walking we decided it was time to go to the town of Cieszyn (border with the Czech Republic) and which is located only about 20 minutes approximately from Ustroń by car so we did not want to miss the opportunity to visit it this day as well.

Sin duda Ustroń es una ciudad polaca maravillosa en cualquier estación, pero en invierno nos ha encantado, te recomiendo visitar alguno de los restaurante o pastelerías, también tomar algo sabroso allí y perderte por algunas de sus calles caminando o quizá dando un tour en el tren que debe ser divertido porque estaba lleno de gente, además también puedes ir al teleférico o a la montaña que son planes que tenemos más adelante cuando Olivia esté más grande pero créeme que de cualquier forma te vas a divertir en Ustroń por lo que sin duda recomiendo visitar esta hermosa ciudad polaca.

No doubt Ustroń is a wonderful Polish city in any season, but in winter we loved it, I recommend you to visit some of the restaurants or pastry shops, also take something tasty there and get lost in some of its streets walking or maybe taking a tour on the train that must be fun because it was full of people, plus you can also go to the cable car or to the mountain that are plans we have later when Olivia is older but believe me that either way you will have fun in Ustroń so I definitely recommend visiting this beautiful Polish city.
