We intended to travel to the beach on our last day in Guiuan, and we did, but before we go there we stopped at Kaunan ni Sangkay for a quick bite.
This restaurant is one of the greatest places to eat in our town. This place is well-known for its Halo-halo as well.
This location is not in the center, but it is somewhat concealed. Even though it is distant from the town center, many people go there to dine and enjoy their meals and snacks.
As you can see from their menu, the meal is reasonably priced, and I can testify that it is tasty. The last time I visited this location, my friends and I had lunch there, and I enjoy their cuisine. Aside from the meal, the Halo-halo is the huge thing that this location is famous for.
We ordered four halo-halo for 100 PHP on this visit. They don't want to waste anything before serving the halo-halo, therefore the coconut water they gathered from the buko/coconut was provided to us as we waited for our order. We had a buko shake and an avocado shake, which raised my father's eyebrows. lol
The location is much larger than the last branch they had, and there are many tables available now as opposed to the previous time when there were only a few. The location is close to the beach, it is windy, and they don't even use an electric fan or air conditioner, which definitely helps them save money. Additionally, the air is fresh, so you can enjoy your meal while admiring the beauty of the beach.
Did I make you drool when I showed you the Halo-halo? Please accept my apologies if I did. lol
For sure, Cebu and other cities have this type of place or restaurant offering a tasty halo-halo, so if you find one, please share it with us.
