Flexibility of one's life
Evaluating how much you can spend to stay in good health is really tricky. Yet, they say you have everything if you're in good health. But what is the meaning of that in the financial world? What kind of resource is health and how does it affect the balance of time and money? Welcome to my perspective on this topic.
In case you have no money but a mix of time and health, you can sacrifice your time in order to make money. That's a simple exchange. You should aim to gain enough money to keep growing your income while affording your health. How you get there is beyond the scope of this article, but it's certainly possible, as long as you have the right mindset and internet access. If you don't have health nor money, then you probably won't get far. We've learned how health enables/disables growth.
If you already have money and health but no time, everything in your life snowballs out of control eventually, because time is needed to maintain your health. You'll stop doing things science deems necessary to maintain neural equilibrium, like exercising, socializing and having fun. In this case, only sacrificing a certain amount of money (without jeopardizing growth) in exchange for time can save you from shredding yourself to pieces. We've reinforced how the lack of health can cripple growth.
Last but not least, if you have both time and money, taking care of your health becomes so easy, it's not even a worry anymore. However, if you somehow let it slip, you'll lose a lot of time and money. Lack of health becomes your only enemy when you're doing well. Taking care of your health is always a priority, otherwise you'll lose a lot more time and money than you can earn back once you've healed.
We can conclude health is always important, but as a resource, it can be sacrificed temporarily in exchange for money. Only by being healthy can you climb to the top, while sickness drags people down from the top. It's no wonder so many companies abuse their workers in one way or another, as they're the ones willing to sacrifice their most precious resource, health, to get anywhere in life.
People's health is therefore an industrial weapon. By making people's lives worse in a region, like spreading sickness, people who would otherwise be able to work at certain companies become jobless, losing most of their time, money and utility as a worker. It's uses in industrial sabotage are incredibly dangerous and already widely used across the world. Foreign companies often hurt a country from inside so they can harness whatever interests them.
Health is more important than time and money. It's the most flexible resource available to an individual, but it's also the easiest to abuse. Although the value of everything can be measured in numbers, including the health of other people, your own health stands out as the most important asset you can have.
