I almost didn't make it to the eighth day of the #hive14challenge, but brainstorming ideas for content for the challenge beforehand has been a huge help. And last Saturday, I took these photos at sunset in my city (Barquisimeto).
Did you know that Barquisimeto is known as the twilight city of Venezuela?
I haven't seen sunsets from every corner of Venezuela, but I think it would be a dazzling experience, and now that I think about it, I'll add it to my to-do list.
Surely we've all seen the sunset, but it's one thing to see and quite another to look. Seeing is simply knowing that something is happening, while watching is pausing to contemplate, as if every aspect of what is being observed were calling out to the soul of the viewer.
I like to think of it as a kind of contemplative meditation. And I confess that sunsets are one of the most praiseworthy everyday things for me. They remind us how fleeting something can be, and yet how immeasurably beautiful.

Por poco no llego a cumplir el 8vo día del reto #hive14challenge, pero, lo positivo de haber realizado una lluvia de ideas 💡 para la creación de contenido para el reto de manera previa al mismo ha sido de enorme ayuda. Y el sábado pasado tomé estás fotos al atardecer 🌇 de mi ciudad (Barquisimeto).
¿Sabías que a Barquisimeto se le conoce como la ciudad crepuscular de Venezuela?
No he visto los atardeceres desde cada rincón de Venezuela, creo que sería una experiencia deslumbrante, y ahora que lo pienso, lo apuntaré en mis cosas por hacer.
Seguramente todos hemos visto el atardecer, pero, una cosa es ver y otra muy diferente es mirar. Ver simplemente es saber que algo está ocurriendo, mirar en cambio, es detenerse a contemplar, como si cada aspecto de lo observado interpelara el alma de quien mira.
Me gusta pensar que es una suerte de meditación contemplativa. Y confieso, que los atardeceres para mí son de las cosas cotidianas más loables, nos recuerdan lo efímero que puede ser algo, y sin embargo ser inconmensurablemente hermoso.
