The @Splinterlands Alpha edition is seeing less and less cards on the market, thanks to the bonus Dark Energy Crystals earned when playing Alpha and gold foil cards. Here are the most wanted common rarity gold foil cards on the market, who have seen dramatic price increases.
Crustacean King
The tank for the Water splinter is highly interesting for its cheap mana costs and the early thorns ability. He comes with a native shield and a good amount of life.
There are only 948 total BCX (base card experience) and 524 total cards in circulation and we need 31 cards to max it. That is a total of 30 maxed cards with the currently available supply, plus a few more from the unopened Alpha packs.
Accordingly, the card is nearly sold out from the market, with only 6 offers remaining, the cheapest at $32 per BCX. It is impossible to max a card with the remaining offers, you cannot even bring it to the lower Gold league (allows up to level 8 out of 10 for commons and requires 11 BCX to combine).
I personally have used the Spineback Turtle in 9.14% of 1050 battles, with a win ratio of fantastic 59.38% (thanks to
Crustacean King
Also from the Water splinter, the crab brings one of the cheapest multi-utilities in the game: Tank heal and Protect for just 3 mana, plus it comes with a native shield, to survive a moment against snipers. It is very rare that I play water without it.
There are 983 total BCX and 566 total cards in circulation, with only 40 cards currently remaining on the market. The cheapest BCX goes for $11.
The Crustacean King is my second most played card from all Splinterlands cards, with 24.19% usage out of the last 1050 battles, with a win rate of impressive 58.66%.
Flesh Golem
The Earth splinters tank, kindly called 'Fleshy' by some, was one of the most popular cards right from the start. It comes with Heal and with Vortex, making it strong against magic teams and very powerful on earlier levels. Even on Champion this is still a useful tank, although less frequently used.
There are 1045 total BCX and 609 total cards in circulation, with only 27 cards available on the market.
I have used the 'Fleshy' in 4.76% out of the last 1050 battles, with a win rate of 58%. However, with my second account, who plays in the lower Gold league, I am using the card much more often.
Divine Healer
The Life splinter has two tank healers and the Divine Healer is the cheaper of the two, with only three mana costs. It brings also Slow and is hence a very cheap and useful card, that is played frequently.
There are 1046 total BCX and 576 total cards in circulation, with only 24 cards currently left of the market. The cheapest BXC price is $8 and doubles already after just 7 BCX.
I have used the Divine Healer in 12.48% out of the last 1050 battles, with a win chance of 55.73%.
