Wow, what a whirlwind of a couple days. We had HiveFest which was quite informative and then we had Punks release and sellout in just 2 days. The ecosystem is ripe for an explosion and it looks like that is nearing. So many projects are being built for Hive and preparing us for the Web3 eventuality, it is amazing to see.
First thing in the morning yesterday I awoke to find THE email I was waiting for.... I GOT MY CALLSIGN! It's crazy. So they say that the FCC takes 18 days to take action on a vanity callsign and that is amazingly accurate. I submitted my application on October 25th and yesterday was the 19th day. The email was sent at midnight, the absolute latest they could be on the 18th day. So the time frame is correct it seems.
After my jubilation at getting my callsign I had to go to town to pickup a bunch of grain. The main brewery had 5 barrels for me. I loaded them up, 4 on the trailer and one in the bed of the truck with the two empties for the other brewery.
I love mornings. This was such a cool look and as much as I hate the city I have to say this looked cool.
At the other brewery I had 2 barrels that got combined into one and then all 6 barrels ended up on the trailer. I have to have even numbers of barrels on the trailer to secure them properly. An odd number makes it so I can't lock them in place.
Home in time to go soak by myself while everyone else slept before heading in to try to get my writing done amidst HiveFest and Punks selling out.
It took me a long time to get outside to empty the barrels. I wanted to see the presentation primarily but caught a few other before hand. I'm pretty happy with it and since they fixed their node issues things have been much better. The roadmap they showed looks promising and I rather look forward to the marketplace being built and integrated.
Once I got outside I dumped 2 barrels of grain in the main garden. I spread them out by throwing shovels full and letting the grain spread as it falls. As you can see I still have beets that need to be harvested... today since the hard freeze is coming tomorrow.
The other 4 barrels got spread out on the pole garden. I shoveled about a full barrel into the sheep pen along the fence so they all ended up in a line munching away.
The chickens and ducks also were instantly in the grain devouring all they could.
I was lucky in that I was able to mint another 11 before the site died and the punks had all sold out. I did not get anything of any value, at least immediate value as the 11 all were 400 or below. Even my best one dropped due to more with bubblegum being minted. I did sell one of the 3 I had listed though which allowed me to mint 5 more. I just want to be able to make back what I spent eventually, at least.
Our evening was spent soaking then watching Goldrush and Puscifer's full Moneyshot show.
Today I have to get my story written, we are cleaning in the house, I have to harvest everything in the garden before the 20F nights upcoming, and most likely we will have the freeze dryer going with what I harvest today.
