Why does have need a very large userbase - up to 10k extra? Well, there are many reasons to that. First, Hive is a social blockchain. Every successful social media platform thrives when there are millions of active users. You could think of the many popular web2 social media and microblogging platforms. The most valuable resource they have is millions of active users. So if Hive is to attempt reaching heights of popularity that web3 platforms have attained, it needs more than 10k active new users.
Second, a large userbase will be crucial to some monetization models popular in social media. For example, having thousands, or perhaps millions of pageviews that are crucial to ad monetization campaigns is only possible if there that that size of audience. Recently, the leo team implemented some ad programs on threads. To really generate more revenue from such programs require thousands of active users to generate pageviews.
Third, Hive is a revolutionary web3 blockchain that offers all the benefits lacking in web2 social media. Hive is censorship-free. Data ownership is fully under the control of users. Hive offers users crypto rewards in exchange for their expertise and original content. These are few of the many benefits lacking in web2 but fully available in Hive. As such, we need more users to learn about have and take advantage of the opportunity. Basically, as crypto is working hard to reach mass adoption, this campaign is one step in the right direction towards achieving that objective.
Is it realistic to onboard 10k users to Hive?
The short answer to that question is YES. This adoption campaign is capable of not just reaching its objective, but surpassing it. There are many reasons for this confidence. To begin, the Leo team have had a track record of success with a similar campaign done previously.
In the last marketing campaign done by the same Leo team with a far lower budget, the monthly active users of Leo finance community rose from roughly 500 to more than1500 MAUs as you can see in the screenshot below. That is a +300% increase from the original figure.
The second reasons why I strongly believe that 10k new users is realistic is that the team is not doing it alone. They have are going to explore all marketing avenues including digital marketing, guerilla marketing, and they a getting all of us involved through this adoption campaign. What should I do with the Zealy quests?
Now that you have joined the campaign with a rounded knowledge of the objectives, you need to start completing the quests. Each Quest is an activity or a task you need to do after which you claim the reward.
The campaign quests could range from east activities like to follow a Hive DAPP on social media, comment on a thread/post, do a poll, etc.
