Hello Everyone,
Today has been a busy day as predicted.
I got done everything I was planning to do and it all went perfect.
It looks like the fairies are good at predicting the future.
When they tell you it is time to clean, you better listen!
The two big plants in the center are the taller Big Mack Superstar clones. I am going to leave them in the flowering tent at this point, which will make today day one of flowering for them on 8/18/2023.
The outer two clones are the cross genetics from some BMS and Miracle Mack plants I seeded a couple harvests ago. They will still be moved to my other grow space to stay in vegetation until they reach the netting.
I am undecided if I will add another layer of netting for this grow. This is my first time using this netting, and lemme' tell ya what, they are some good quality nettings. I'm inexperienced with using scrog (screen of green) netting, so I will just do what I feel is necessary and take advice from the community along the way :)
I like this stretchy material because it makes it easy to unhook and move netting around. Once these plants are anchored into the netting, unhooking will not be happening. Any work I'll need to do in the tent will require me to maneuver myself around the netting. It may require a little bit of acrobatics but the results that scrog netting can make possible makes the acrobatics worth it, and it's good exercise anyway.
I centered everything up in this eight foot wide tent.
This tent takes two 4X4 scrog nets, and they bow in the center away from one another, which really sucks..
So recently I designed some 3D printable clips as a solution. The design was not complicated and works very well. Simple and effective.
You can see in the last photo I am about to drop, that these clips button up the bowing nets really well.
I have about 24 inches of space between the 600 watt Kingbrite LED's currently, and have it tied up with good rope, utilizing slip knots that make it possible to raise/lower for perfect spacing and the netting will help give an even canopy, which will maximize use of this light and will minimize issues that can occur from some areas of the plants being too close to the lights.
Things will get exciting in this grow tent pretty soon :)
That's going to do it for today.
What do you all think of how things are coming along in futuremind's grow tent?
I would love to read your thoughts in the comment section!
Thank you for stopping by,
