Hello, friends. A while ago, I shared with you a figurine of a rather interesting character named Kero, one of my favorites from the anime Sakura Card Captor.

Well, today I would like to share with you another figurine from Sakura Card Captor, a figurine of a character named Suppi, although that is just a nickname and his real name is Spinel Sun, but I'll tell you about that another day. For now, I would like to invite you to follow along with the step-by-step process of making this figurine. I hope you like it.

Saludos amigos. Hace un tiempo compartí con ustedes una figurita de un personaje bastante interesante llamado Kero, uno de mis favoritos del anime llamado Sakura Card Captor.

Pues bien, hoy me gustaría compartir con ustedes otra figurita de Sakura Card Captor, una figurita de un personaje llamado Suppi, aunque ese es solo un apodo y su nombre real es Spinel Sun, pero eso se los contaré otro día. Por ahora me gustaría invitarlos al paso a paso de esta figurita. Espero les guste.

Step by step

The materials I used for the character were basically plasticine, wire, and glue.

The colors are those shown in the image below. I used a bluish black, which I obtained simply by mixing black with various shades of blue until I got the desired color. The blue I used is quite intense, as you can clearly see.

Paso a paso

Los materiales que utilicé para el personaje fueron básicamente plastilina, alambre y pegamento.

Los colores son los que se pueden observar en la imagen de abajo. Usé un negro azulado, que obtuve simplemente mezclando negro con varias tonalidades de azul hasta obtener el color deseado. El azul que usé es uno bastante intenso, como se puede ver claramente.

I used the blue-black color to make a bell shape for Suppi's body. Obviously, it is a solid bell, not hollow, otherwise the body would collapse under the weight.

Con el color negro azulado hice una forma de campana para el cuerpo de Suppi. Evidentemente es una campana maciza, no hueca, de lo contrario el cuerpo se hundiría por el peso.

After making the body, I continued with the limbs. I made the legs like spheres and then lengthened what would become the feet. These lower limbs are much larger than the upper limbs, which are essentially two small sticks.

Después de hacer el cuerpo continué con las extremidades. Las piernas las hice como unas esferas y luego le alargué lo que serían las patas. Estas extremidades inferiores son mucho más grandes que las extremidades superiores que, en esencia son dos bastoncitos.

Once the limbs were ready, I attached them to the bell-shaped body I had made earlier. I used a knitting needle to smooth out the seams and make them neat.

I wanted to make it look like a sitting kitten, as you can see in the image below.

Luego de tener lista las extremidades las uní al cuerpo con forma de campana que ya había hecho anteriormente. Usé una aguja e tejer para suavizar las uniones y que estas quedaran limpias.

La forma que deseaba dar era la de un gatito sentado, tal como pueden observar en la imagen de abajo.

I made the head enormous, just as I had done with Kero. So I took some of the blue-black material and created a rounded sphere, slightly wider at the sides.

An essential part of the figurine are the ears, so I made them after fixing the head in place. I made the ears with two small black triangles and two even smaller blue triangles.

La cabeza la hice enorme, tal como había hecho con Kero. Así que tomé una forma del material negro azulado y creé una esfera redondeada, un poco ancha hacia los lados.

Un elemento indispensable de la figurita son las orejas, así que las hice luego de fijar la cabeza en su sitio, hice las orejitas con dos triangulitos de color negro y dos triangulos aún más pequeños de color azul.

Once the pieces were ready, I joined them together and added other elements such as the eyes and nose. In the image below, you can see that I used a small piece of wire to secure the head in place.

Una vez lista las piezas las uní y coloqué otros elementos como los ojos y la nariz. En la imagen de abajo pueden observar que usé un trocito de alambre para poder fijar la cabeza en su sitio.

The final elements of the character are the small two-piece wings and the curious tail.

Los últimos elementos del personaje son las pequeñas alas de dos piezas que tiene y su curiosa cola.
