Man, reading your post frustrated the hell out of me.
Not because of the post itself but because I hate the witcher show for what it is doing. I didn't even watch it yet and I don't think I will Blood Origins was enough butchering of my favorite universe for my taste.
although the game from my understand add things that were not on the books.
The games never really added things that were not in the book. It's important to realize that the game takes place after the books. The only real thing the games changed was Triss's personality to make her seem more favorable in the games.
The idea of them splitting up happens in the books but not the way you explained it does in the show. Yennifer gets captured by the Lodge and is a hostage right up until the final confrontation.
Ciri gets teleported before Geralt can reach her during the Isle of Thannedd, she is then captured and brought to a tavern where a Rat is also being held. During the breakout the Rats rescue her and she joins them.
Yennifer wasn't running recruiting a bunch of mages in the book. The Lodge was 100% not an attempt at "feminism" in the books. In fact in the books, to be frank, they're sex crazed women who believe they should rule the world and believe that only women deserve power.
As soon as I saw that Fishbourne was casted as Regis I knew that S4 was going to be another disaster!
