Hello Hivers 🙂 Hope all is well with you and your family too 😊
Have you been curious on what's inside a Buddhist temple?
Let's take a look at these photos as a glimpse of what you can see as walk-in tourists are welcome to enter this place.
I was surprised to see carvings of the history of how Buddhism started. There are walls specially carved to depict the origin of Buddhism inside this temple. It was artistically designed and English version of the carved description is also available on the wall.
I was amazed by the history or background of Buddhism, though I am quite familiar of some of their teachings, I still have curiosity in me especially when I read about the origin of this religion, it was summarized on the English translation provided.
As I observed the carvings, it looks like the hieroglyphics inside the pyramid, I think it has similarity based on how it tries to share a sequence or piece of the story.
The carvings are attractive, how I wish I can also do wooden carving or sculpture.
My niece shared about the Golden Buddha, there was no tour guide when I was looking at it so I just read the posted description on the wall to have some understanding about the golden image.
There's a room with a collection of Ancient Chinese writings, I felt like I time-travelled in a Chinese dynasty era.
My niece said that they were also taught about Buddhism and a Buddhist prayer in Chinese which she can recite in Chinese pronunciation of which I like to listen to though I do not understand it but I was amazed hearing her reciting a Chinese prayer.
There are posting on the bulletin board in Chinese characters.
Since there is no English translation, I just continued to observe the place.
I saw this carved fish hanged not sure about its role on that spot might be to welcome visitors coming inside.
The lady guard was sweeping the dried leaves, she is friendly so I felt comfortable when I visited this temple.
I like that they have musical instruments a bell and Taiko drum, I thought Taiko drum is only common in Japanese culture so I realized that even in Buddhism or Chinese culture it is also part of it as it is displayed inside.
This temple has a beautiful garden, where you can take pictures of beautiful flowers and plants.
I was trying to get the timing of capturing this scene without photobombers like cars or vehicles on the road to see how it looks outside, I had a fun learning experience inside this temple. It is better to have a tour guide so that you'll better understand every corner of it especially if you are not familiar about Buddhism religious beliefs.
If you made it this far, thank you for taking the time to read my post. 💞 I'm glad to share more about the places I visited.
