So I just installed the strings
from the set of orchestral instruments I discovered the other day. I used the ensembles here, although the individual instruments turned out to sound WAY better (I discovered this after the fact), so next time I'll just be layering a bunch of individual tracks to simulate the ensemble effect. This song is one I have done before using synthy stuff; it was originally written as a basic chord progression on guitar, but I always wanted it to be played with Strings, so this is the first attempt!
Listen to Big Chords here.
Track 1 is our basic ensemble
which plays the chord voicings I had done on guitar. Basically, we have 2 sections, the 16 bars in Brown/Yellow and the 8 bars in Neon Green. For the Brown/Yellow, this plays an Emin to C7 x2, Fmaj, Bbmin, Fmin, and Bbmaj. The Green section consists of Dmin, Cmin to Bmin, then Amaj, to Gmaj and finally to F#min.
Track 1, Brown/Yellow section, all 16 bars.

Track 2, Neon Green section, described below.
Track 2 uses the staccato string
ensemble, and plays a little melody line to accent the progressions. The above screenshot is the progression in the Neon Green part, all 8 bars. Last up is Track 3, which is an additional ensemble of just violins, which comes in initially playing a single melody line, then it doubles an octave up. I have attached a screenshot below of the 16 bars in Light Blue on this track.
