Out-of-Print Splinterlands Card Giveaway
Each week I host a giveaway for one of the original Reward Edition Splinterlands cards and give you a little history on the origins of the card. Most of these cards have been out-of-print for two years or more, so new players can only get them in the market, and that can be pretty expensive. These giveaways are a way to help players build their deck for free.
As an added bonus, everyone who enters the giveaway receives a little upvote from me on their entry. So even if you don't win the prize, you will still get enough Hive to buy a Splinterlands card or two from the market. If you do buy a Splinterlands card with the Hive you receive, come back and let me know which card(s) you bought. Maybe it will inspire me to increase the size of the votes I'm handing out. Limit one entry per person.
Last week's prize was this Screeching Vulture card.
Now that the post has reached the end of the seven day point of payout it's time to spin the wheel of names and find out who the lucky winner is...
Congratulations to the winner, ! You are now the proud owner of this new Screeching Vulture card. The card has already been sent to your account.
This Week's Giveaway
This week's Blast From The Past Giveaway is the Baby Unicorn.
The Baby Unicorn once was a very popular card. Not only is it the cutest of all Splinterlands cards, it also is one of the weaker 3 Mana cards. But back when it was first introduced, its Strengthen ability made it very useful since the Life Splinter tanks were not the most durable of monsters. When it reached level 6, it received the Swiftness ability as well giving an added boost to all the Life Splinter monsters that relied on speed such as the Feral Spirit and Silvershield Knight.
Over time, new, more powerful cards with similar abilities have been released. As a result, the price of the Baby Unicorn has suffered some in recent months. Currently, the cheapest Baby Unicorn on the Splinterlands Marketplace is only $0.13 for a level 1 card. That's very cheap for a card that was so useful and popular a few years ago.
Unfortunately, like a lot of the early Splinterlands cards, the Baby Unicorn may have to wait until card staking in Land and Tower Defense arrives to increase the demand for older cards.
How To Enter The Giveaway
For a chance to add this Baby Unicorn to your Splinterlands deck, just leave a comment. Be sure to add your Splinterlands account name if it's different than your entry name. Only 1 entry per person. The contest will end at the 7 day point of payout for this post, when I will use the WHEEL OF NAMES to choose the winner.
Good Luck!
